Thanksgiving at the Fort.....

I don't even have an oven in our MH. We have a convection/microwave oven. Currently our "oven" is out off service too. If my DH can't fix it before the trip we will be buying a new one. I can't leave home with it ! We are leaving Thursday after school lets out. I plan on having the RV packed and ready to roll Wednesday night. I will have the refrig running on electricity/LP in order to keep everything frozen or cold.

We had the micro fixed and after one use it stopped working again. I wish I could get a micro convection to fit in the space.

We'll be in either Thursday night or very early Friday. I have Thursday booked but may drop it.

So would love to go to Ft. Wilderness during any holiday. The closest we ever got was Halloween. Love it there..!!

LORNADUCK we will be smoking a turkey also! I usually pre-cook everything else before we head to the Fort and freeze it. I think I will be fixing cornbread dressing, rice and gravy, sweet potato casserole, broccoli or squash dish and a fruit salad (not frozen...made at the site ). Dessert will probably be Apple pie and pecan pie with ice cream. Nothing low fat for Thanksgiving day !

Your menu sounds delicious! Sounds just like ours!!! Yet another reason we should book a trip for Thanksgiving! Not to mention it's our anniversary too! Hmmm. Wonder if the hubby would go for it? I just asked him. His head is spinning around like crazy! I said we could just stay at the Fort and enjoy the campground and not go to the parks. Still spinning! Hmmmmm, not sure what this means.
