Thanksgiving at Disney?

I am sure there are threads on this, but I couldnt find a lot of info. How are the crowds on Thanksgiving? Do you think it is worth it to go down for that weekend? I really want to use my AP's again before they expire.

As the week goes on the crowds get bigger. Wednsday and Friday are extremely full, then it starts to thin out.

We arrived the day before Thanksgiving last year and stayed through the following week. It was packed Wed, Thur, Fri and Sat. Things started to thin out Sunday and then it was practically empty all week. Have a great trip!

I agree with sherry8253. We arrive Thanksgiving day, have a character meal at a resort, stay AWAY from the parks on Friday, and start on Saturday. We made the mistake of going on a Friday one year, and we were really sorry because it was extremely crowded. But Saturday and Sunday were fine. So enjoy!

We arrive on Thanksgiving Day. Use Friday and Sat to do stuff like minature golf, swim, look at resorts, etc. On Sunday the parks really thin out in regards to crowds. Sunday morning last year we rode Buzz Lightyear six times in a row. That was plenty for me. We weren't able to do that the rest of the week but the crowds were very manageable.

We tried the parks on Friday one year ... YUK! Saturday is still very crowded but we thought somewhat manageable.

If you are there the week after Thanksgiving we love doing Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. If you can hang around until about 10:30pm the parks really empty out and you can do lots of stuff. We rode Goofys Barnstormer five times in a row. I finally got off ...couldn't do it again.
