Thanksgiving and crowds.

DH and I want to go to the parks around Thanksgiving. He gets automatic vacation days then and that could add on to the length of our stay at the park. He heard the parks are pretty crowded for Thanksgiving and the weekend afterwards. He says that of this is the case, he wants to put it off for an extra week. Anyone know what the parks will be like Thanksgiving Day and the weekend following? Should we wait until the weekend after that?Any advice would sure be appreciated.

WAIT!!!!!! I've been TG week and I've been the week after, and the week after is MUCH better. On our trip TG week we didn't even go to the parks TG day. The day before had been so crowded that we decided it wasn't worth burning a day on our hopper passes. So we just took the day for DTD and relaxing at the resort.

My Dh and I were there the weekend after thanksgiving 2003 and didn't really think it was all that bad but i guess its just up to how much your family can handle. It was just the two of us last year so we had many fredoms that we don't when we go with little ones.

I'd go the week after. The first week in December is supposedly the least crowded. Of course I forgot this when I booked my trip and ended up booking it the week BEFORE Thanksgiving. Oops, lol.
