Thanksgiving 2023

We are going to book at our 11 month day for next Thanksgiving. But I want to bring friends with us and I’m trying to give them a cost comparison of how much money they will save coming with us rather than booking their own room. But when I look online there’s one room at animal kingdom available out of all the resorts. Did I miss something where everything was sold out or is it too early that you can’t even get a cash room?

Too early for a cash villa. Disney follows simila booking rules and cannot block units with their points to rent for cash significantly earlier than other owners.

You can look at a deluxe villa room for October, then click rate details below the price, then click rate calendar, then scroll to the desired month. It would allow you to see what the price will be for that same room throughout the year.

They did not have very good discounts this year for Thanksgiving. My parents / sister were going to stay in 2 rooms in the main tower of Contemporary. The combined cost was very close to $10k for 4 days of tickets and 4 nights in the rooms. We ended up getting them a 1 bedroom to share in BLT and charged them $3,500 for the room. They are FL residents so the tickets were not as much as I had expected. In the end we saved them $6,000. We had already booked ourselves a studio there. Luckily the traveling together notation on the reservations was observed and we had connecting rooms.

Not sure that is true anymore. This past mid-My we had called to see if there were any cash discounts left for June. We got quite a great price for a Boardwalk View studio. She took our credit card info and gave me the confirmation number. I added it to the MDE and couldn't find it. Well, it was for June of 2023. We weren't even at the 11 month booking period for owners at that point.

That's the units at DVC cash discount, which are also not the units listed fo cash to general public.

I think they can project what they'll have but they don't necessarily list to general public before a certain point. It allows for some flexibility. The number of units used for member cash discount is very low.

Thank you for this! I knew this calendar was somewhere and I could not remember where it was. I found the rates for Copper Creek but unfortunately I cannot find one single night for a two bedroom at grand Floridian yet!
