I'm going to Disney in November 2008. I was thinking about where we are going to eat on Thanksgiving Day. Any suggestions?:teacher:

How Funny!!! I was going to start a thread with the exact same question!! We are going next year from the Wed. before Thanksgiving until Dec 7th... :dance3:

Anyways I was going to ask the same exact question about Thanksgiving dinner.

I know... my dh laughs at me because I am already thinking about our dinnr reservations even though our trip is 11 months away!! I'm just so excited.

My husband thinks I'm crazy because last night I was on-line looking at pictures of all the food. As of today, I think I have narrowed it down to what I want to eat and where to eat it. Tomorrow might be different. The pictures looked so good, I want to go now.:rotfl2:

We went to Boma's for breakfast and Hoop Dee Doo Review for dinner. We loved it! We didn't have to fight any crowds. No turkey but it was still great. HDDR books quickly for Thanksgiving Day.

LTT would be great but you also need to factor in if you want to fight the crowds at MK on TD. The crowds from Weds-Sat. were insane.

We may be there on TD and I know it will be crazy, but what about a resort restaurant?

A resort restaurant would be great. Just allow at least an hour or more travel time. We rode in a DCL bus on TD! They were bringing in extra buses to handle the crowds.

We ate at the swan a few years ago and I would do it again as it was fantastic! We spent the day at Epcot and took the boat over to eat and then went back to Epcot after dinner.

Thank you all for your help. Did you go this last year? Is the crowds really bad the days before TD.

We flew in the Thursday before TD. The crowds were manageable until Weds. before TD. We were relieved that we had done all of our "must do items" before Weds.

Weds. - Sat. we got to do a few of our favorite attractions each day. I really got tired of the crowds. We spent more time at our resort. I let the kids swim. We followed Tour Guide Mike's "best park" each day. I whole heartedly believe in his advise. If we went to the least crowded park each day I would hate to see the most crowded!:scared1:

So how are the crowds the week following Thanksgiving? We'll be going from the day before thanksgiving and leaving dec. 7. I'm thinking it will be packed until Sunday? Then slow down the week after?

Tour Guide Mike is the sponsor of the Theme Parks Attractions board. His ad is at the top of the forum.

He gives advice on which park will be less crowded (morning and night) during your stay. We've followed his advice on 2 trips and we were extremely pleased.

I think the crowds probably start to thin on the Sun. after TD. On Sat. the MK was wall to wall people. Locals that stayed away on TD, came out in full force on Friday and Sat. with their house guests.

The news said that MCO had its busiest day of the year on Sat. We left at 8:00 p.m. and didn't find the airport to be busy. The first weekend in Dec. will be crowded in MK because that is when the Christmas parade is filmed.
