i just wanted to say thanks for all the great info i received by being on these boards before our trip last month. usually i purchase our travel insurance thru DCL and this time around i ventured out into insure my trip.com which not only covered our wonder and magic cruise portion but also our land part . my daughter got a very serious tripple ear infection on day 5 of our 17 day vacation and we ended up in the ER 2xs, had to purchase 5 prescriptions, visited a health care center, and saw the ships doctor. we spent alot of vacation dollars on co-pays and just out of pocket medical expenses. today i received a check that covered all that i spent. i had filled out all the claims forms two weeks ago and was wondering if anything would ever come of it so i was quite surprised to see the check today and most greatful. thanks again. these boards are tremendous. if anyone is thinking of not obtaining insurance for their trip please reconsider as you never know what could happen unexpectantly. by the way, its been a month and a half and my daughter is still having major ear pain and some hearing loss. the ENT says all should be normal soon but i think its odd that she is still having all this trouble with her ears.
Thank God for the insurance!! I hope the illness didn't hamper her ability to have at least a little fun on your vacation!! What a bummer!!!
