Thank you to those who said you could use WDW tix at DL.

I had called DL tix directly and they said you couldn't do that, but I decided to take my chances. At the gate I handed over my Keys to the World that had park hoppers on it and told the CM I was told I could use them at DL. The CM took my WDW tix and came back with DL hoppers.

Woo hoo! And it's thanks to you all here who said it could be done.

I'm so glad for you. For some it seems like a waste, but for others, it's a chance they wouldn't have otherwise!!!

I was planning on buying a 10 day hopper and using 5 days in March at WDW, 3 days at DL in July, and then 2 at WDW later in the year as I calculated this would be the cheapest way to see both. But, if they take my entire ticket and turn it into a DL one it will not work out. I guess I will just buy the DL tickets.

My understanding is that if there are still days remaining on your MYW ticket, they should not take your ticket.

What they have to do at DL is verify the days on your MYW ticket & deduct the day from the media you have. I'm not sure how they handle wanting to use multiple days from your MYW ticket in exchange for a multi-day PH at DL. I'm only aware of how they handle single day uses. So, even if you have to exchange a day at a time at DL, you should still be able to go with your original plan. My only concern has been that in deducting the day(s) at DL, if a mistake is made & an extra day is deducted or something like that at DL, will that cause you unresolvable problems back at WDW?

You should have called five or six times. Sooner or later, you'll get a CM with the exact tidbit of information you are seeking!

Glad it worked out for you, but I didn't think they would change your ticket media? What if you had even more days you wanted to use at WDW---you can't "trade" in Florida??

They only took off the one day from my MYW tix that I needed. They gave me back my MYW tix with the remaining days on them after deducting the one day for a DL tix, so I still have days to use at WDW. Sorry if I was confusing about that.

Just tell them confidently you were told you could do this (but just don't tell them who it was who told you - LOL). He never even questioned my request.

It shouldn't matter who told you, but I specifically asked a Ticketing lead at DL before our trip this past summer to WDW who positively said that you could do that.
