And for the people who didn't like it: what were you expecting? really? Not every ride needs to go from zero to 500 mph in .5 seconds and do 75 inversions before plunging into water.
You know, it's OK if you liked it and it's OK if we didn't. Until recently, our family avoided those "zero to 500 mph in .5" like the plague. So it had nothing to do with that. We thought it was pretty, but no big deal. Is that OK?
As I've been posting, three out of four of us loved this ride - yes, especially when the big, scary fish is working (apparently it's down a LOT - wonder what's with that? Working out the bugs?), nothing wrong with a "little" thrill and disney almost always does just that.
We rode it twice over five days. Really liked it.
On the other hand, the 17-year old son wouldn't be caught dead on it again! (Can not wait until he has kids!!!)
DD2 was afraid of the angler fish (the one with the big teeth and light on top) and the part where you go through the EAC. DDs 5 and 7 thought the whole thing was fantastic.
Thanks. Is it a short part of the ride where I might be able to cover my DD3's eyes? I forgot about that guy, she's afraid of him in the movie too. I usually fast forward that part. Can we fast forward the ride?

DD7 loved this ride! I, on the other hand found it to be a snoozer and I'm a big Nemo fan. The only excitement I found on this ride was during our 3rd time riding, when the ride got stuck SEVERAL times. Stopped once during the part with Crush and all the turtles and bubbles. I had to close my eyes because I was starting to feel a little .
This ride is probably a favorite among the preschool set. Disney does have a little something for everyone.
This may just be one of those love it or hate it rides. I thought it was adorable and I loved the theming of the whole thing. Even DH remarked about the "RUSTY RAILS" in the ride queue!
The child in the clamshell next to us did scream at the angler fish -- the big teeth one. Another poster mentioned it scared her child. For some reason it sometimes seems to come right at you if you catch it at the right moment.
It did stop on us one time. I think that may be to let handicapped people on (but I could be wrong). It can be a little disconcerting to sit the same place for a while.
I think the outside sign and the line area are some of the best things about this ride. I guess i was just expecting more, but i wasn't all that impressed.. I understand that every ride doesn't have to be a big thriller, but i don't know.. This one just seemed to be lacking --- something. Not sure what. My fav part of the ride was the end, when they had the real fish in that huge tank.. that was neat.
I would give it about a 6 on a 1-10 scale.
