I had seen a post on here awhile back about where to vacation besides Disney. As any of us would even consider another place!!??
The recommendation was Great Wolf Lodge, we are planning to stay at one this week. I would have never found this place had it not been for these boards.

enjoy your trip. can you let us know on this board how you liked it? and which one are you going to? which state? I'm about 45 minutes from the one in PA, and haven't gone yet, but would like to at some point.

Our stay: I would rate this overall with a "B- grade".
We stayed at the one in Grapevine Texas - this just opened. Considering the hotel has been open less than a year, I already saw frayed carpet and broken animals in the waterpark.

The waterpark was great, got to experience most of the park.
We stayed in a family suite and paid approx $250 per night. Thought this was kinda pricey, but you factor at $30 a person for waterpark and $120 ish for hotel, it makes sense.

The room on first apperance was nice - 2 queen beds and a sitting area with TV. Rooms have mini refidge. and microwave in them. That was a bonus!
As for the beds.... they stink! We all awoke stiff and tired from not sleeping. (hence the "minus" in grading)

I am glad we went and can say we have been there. Next time I will save my money though...
