We went to WDW for the first time since we started pin collecting. We had such a terrific time.Me and my two son, Ross and Jared are traders. DH won't admit to even liking pins.
The highlight of the trip was the pin meet at the contemporary on Friday 11/16. Everyone was so very nice. I met so many of you, of course I already thought I "knew" you from the boards. So many people I can't even remember them all. However, Kathryn (pintrader) was holding court with her trusty servent Raul at her side. I've never met royalty before, I'm afraid I forgot to curtsy!
We don't have a great collection and I was afraid that I would be way out of my league. And, I probably was..... but you wouldn't know it from how everyone looked at my pins and made trades with us. The kids had an especially nice time. I think next time I will disguise myself as a six year old with big blue eyes and a bunch or rack pins. I can't believe the trades he made.
So, thanks to everyone for being so nice and making us feel so welcome.
If anyone is wondering if their pins are "good enough" to go to this meet. Stop worrying and get on the monorail! You'll have a great time. I think it was the no sharking sign that made the difference.
Thanks again,
Chris
Ross, Jared and Patrick
PS Patrick says hello to his friends in the pin widow's club. Thanks for keeping him busy while we traded!
