I'm sorry this is late, but I wanted to thank the DISigners who created the fabulous designs for our December '09 trip. I was new to all of this, but I'm so glad I spent the time making these special projects for our trip. It added lots of excitement and saved us money as well! Each morning of our trip I layed out the t-shirt for the designated park and my kids loved the surprise. (I bought Star Wars shirts for the Studios day, so that's why there's only 3 shirts)

Special thanks to Milliepie for personalizing the Pirates Mickey heads, RustManFan for the AK design and Natalie for the Epcot t-shirt logo, her incredible autograph pages and Test Track Licenses. Also thanks to Dolly for her easy-to-follow directions for personalizing designs on my own in Word.

I also made (not pictured) a poster with a stick family from Ohana90 to post in our Ft. Wilderness cabin window and a mouse ear family from tebi73 on our golf cart's "license plate".

Also, the water bottle carriers are not an idea from this thread, but are another project I did for this trip, so I thought I'd post the idea.

A number of cast members commented on our personalized pirate shirts and many characters fussed over the autograph pictures with thepersonalized pages, which really made my kids feel special. Many other guests asked about where I'd bought everything, so I let some of them in on the gold mine that is the Creative DISigns board. :)

Thanks again to the DISigners! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks Marion! I've edited my original post so you get credit for your great design. We appreciate all you do!

Everything looks amazing!

Thanks for posting your water bottle instructions. May I ask where you found the material though? I am having a hard time finding Mickey Mouse material.

Thanks!
April

The fabric is scraps from a quilt I made over 5 years ago, but I just did an ebay search for Mickey Mouse fabric and found some. I've also seen Disney fabrics at fabric stores in my area in the kids section or the novelty/license sections. Hope that helps. Good Luck!

The shirts look great. Did you get them printed professionally or do them on your own using transfer sheets?

I printed them using transfer sheets I purchased at a local craft store. I used the light shirt transfers (the type where you reverse the image) for the white shirts and dark shirt tranfers for the khaki and red shirts.

I recently bought transfers from amymickey.com for some new projects and I prefer them to the ones I used on the shirts pictured above. She includes easy to follow directions and the finished product is not as stiff as they were on the other shirts.

Feel free to post any more questions you have. You'll find everyone on this board is eagar to help you.
