I purchased this ticket Chicago Ohare to Orlando on Thursday for Dec 26 departure and Jan 3 return for 181.50 on Spirit Airlines after seeing that the same coach ticket was being sold on its website with the exact same flight and time for $636 .
I was told that a few seats are bought in bulk by travel sites such as expedia for a particular flight and then for an hour or two unanounced, they will put them on its web site as a special web fare. When I checked an hour later, the cheapest fare for the same time, Dec 26 to Jan 3 was $311 with a connection through NY. I guess I was just lucky.
