I tried to edit my OP but I screwed it up...so...thanks to all of you who said prayers for me and helped to cheer me up the other day after I had been fired from my job.
I have a great update, your prayers and PD came through!
My evil boss is going to pay me my $5,000 bonus, and I will get it on my next check on May 10. I walked into his office and he announced to me that he was going to pay me.
But get this...now remember, this is a man who is the Executive Director of a YMCA, whose mission is based on CHRISTIAN principles and core values of HONESTY, CARING, RESPECT and RESPONSIBILITY...a few friends who work in payroll told me he was trying everything he could NOT to pay me. He went into my file because he didn't think there was still a contract in there, I think he actually forgot because the contract was given to me in 2001, while he was looking through my file (I have a feeling he was going to steal my contract and toss it out), one of the girls said "you have to pay her, there is a valid contract in her file" making sure he knew that THEY knew it was there. What a creep.
What really gets me is he makes over 70K per year and most of the staff there make peanuts. Most of us are there because we believe in helping others. He is there to collect a fat paycheck.
