We got back last week from a magical first trip as a family. Along the way we met several great CMs who really seemed to enjoy their jobs. I would like to thank a few who made a big impression on my 2 boys DS4 and DS3.
At the end of the MVMCP on Dec. 6th, we purchased 2 pressed penny books at I believe it was at Mickey's Star Traders (the big gift shop accross from the speedway.) Anna was the CM to check us out, and allowed each boy to check themselves out. She took the time to show them how to scan their book, which keys to push on the register, and how to make change. Which as you can imagine was not a quick process to 2 little one, but she never tried to rush them. Afterwards she presented each one with a Magical Moments certificate. The boys were so proud and were quick to tell the rest of the group when we met up with them and to show off the certificates. Thank-you Anna, for taking the time to make the boys feel important at the end of a very late day.
The second CM was Gabriella from Brazil, she was working the Jungle Cruise on the evening of Dec. 10th. DS4 had his toy gun and the red and white striped bandana with Mickey ears, and was having a great time pretending to be a pirate. Gabriella began talking with DS4 and involved him through out the entire ride and asked for his help to scare away the hippos. That was a very big highlight for DS4 and he felt very important after that ride, he still talks about helping with the hippos more than a week later.
The 3rd CM was Wendy in the 3 o'clock MK parade on Tues. Dec. 13th. Each boy was wearing shirts that had their name and 1st trip to Disney. As the float passed Wendy called out "HI" to each boy by name. The look on each of thier faces was priceless as they believed that Wendy had remembered them from earlier in the week.
The 4th and final but definately not the least was a CM who probably gets very little notice, but she has a fan in DS4. DS4 was fascinated by the large vacums used to clean up after the parades. so after the 3 o'clock parade on Tues. the 13th DH approched Nikki and asked if she would pose for a picture with DS4 and the vacum. Not only did Nikki pose for the picture, she allowed DS4 to help her push the vacum down the street for a few minutes. For this little boy, that was a dream come true, and a moment he will remember for a long time to come.
These were only a few of the great CMs that we met during our week at Disney. The boys already want to know when we are going back to see Mickey's house.
When things calm down from the holidays I will be sending a letter to Disney, so that hopefully these CMs can be recognized for a job well done.
