I received a lot of helpful info on these boards so I just wanted to add my experience. We rented a full size with Alamo for $175 using the Visa code and coupon from July 30-August 7 (counted as 9 days). I have a family of 5: Me, DH, DD (10 in two weeks), DS (almost 8), and DS (3 in three weeks).

I couldn't use online check in because we used a coupon. I was prepared to use the kiosks but my credit card wouldn't swipe at the kiosk so we had to use the regular line. Luckily there were only two people in front of us but we still probably waited 15 minutes in line (we landed at 9:15am on a Tuesday morning). Anyway, all was well got the paperwork and headed to the garage.

The full size/standard aisle had mostly impalas, camrys, and some altimas. I'm sure there were others but I can't recall them. There were no minivans/suvs. We went with the Impala as I read here it has the most space. We had two suitcases (one really big and one big), one soft-sided Disney bag, an umbrella stroller, and two backpacks. They all fit fairly easily into the trunk. The trunk is big but I think the key is to have some soft-sided bags that can be squeezed into the tight spaces in the trunk. There is no way we could have fit three suitcases, but again, my two suitcases were big. Three smaller suitcases would probably fit. We did shove a case of water and a couple of grocery bags in there as well. Overall, I was happy with the space in the trunk.

As far as the inside, my youngest still sits in a big 5-point Britax carseat and my other son uses a booster. The boys sat on the end and my daughter sat in the middle of them. They had enough room to be comfortable. We first drove to Vero Beach for three days and then back to Disney. The ride to Vero took a little under two hours so they were in there for a decent amount of time. Would we have liked more room? Absolutely! But the price difference between a full size and a minivan/suv was $175 vs. $500 so we were willing to sacrifice a little space!

Overall we were really happy with the Impala. The pickup/drop off process was super easy and for that kind of money, I would definitely rent one again.

Hope this helps someone! Thanks again to everyone for posting your experiences/questions/answers!
