THANKS for the magic, Mary! (@ Mousesavers!)

So.... opened my mail EARLY this morning (it IS the 15th after all...) and read this:

Big news: I am retiring from running MouseSavers.com, which I founded in 2001.

*sob*what??

If you don't know Mary from Mousesavers, then you should. She (along with many others, like the owners of this forum, the founders of TouringPlans.com, and a couple of Disney-only travel agencies) helped to pioneer the groundswell of Disney Fans over the past 10 to 15 years. Just look at the numbers; they are staggering. She's well written, well respected AND well-loved.

Mary, I know you are leaving Mousesavers.com in capable hands (and Don and Sarah sound like a mirror image to you and your ever imaginative husband) but dammit, I'm going to miss you.

Thanks for the magic, Mary. I wish you lots of pixie dust wherever your travels take you.

Sad day, mousesavers is an origional and still use her site as reference. Been going to Disney every year since 1998 and remember in the days when I would watch the main page for her to post discounts. Thank goodness it will continue, will miss Mary.

I read my newsletter this morning and I will miss Mary's personal touch in the newsletter. However, I am sure that she has left the website and newsletter in capable hands. I still check MouseSavers whenever I am planning a trip, and I have been to WDW countless times over the last 30+ years.

I have referred so many people to Mousesavers over the years and it is sad that Mary is retiring.

I have to thank her though for this last bit of today. I booked BC through Cheap Tickets this morning and the total rate for a GV was less than I was paying at The Dolphin! Loved that discount stack on top of the 30% off Disney was offering. Thanks Mary!

Hi all,

You can be assured that Sarah and I plan to put a picture of Mary up above our computers with "WWMD" underneath it (for "What Would Mary Do").

Our goal is to maintain Mary's high standards and keep things running smoothly. We have no plans to make any radical changes.

Oh my Goofy! It's the new Mousers at Mousesavers themselves!

I was happy to see that she was keeping it in the family. I have to admit - I love the subtle humor of the site most of all, in addition to all the great money saving tips. And if you're a brother of Mary's, then I'm sure it's going to be just as great. Thank you for popping in and be sure to give Mary a brotherly hug from us grateful readers!
