I had called Disney Dining about a month ago to try to book the Fantasmic Dinner Package for 11/13, and was disappointed to hear that no packages were available at any of the FDP restaurants for that night. However, I remembered reading on the DIS boards that sometimes more FDP spots open up 3 weeks prior to the date. Well, here I am at 3 weeks before 11/13 - I called at 9:00 this morning and got H & V FDP at 4:40 for a party of five!

I'm happy to hear the advice you got on the DIS was helpful! I got that same tip here on the DIS several trips ago, and I've used it every trip since then. I try to pass it on every time the question comes up so that others will know to call back and check.
