I am getting ready to do some research on RCL. I currently have the Dream booked for March '15 and am considering moving it to May tomorrow, but the prices are getting ridiculous. I am trying to find as much as I can about RCL before trying to convince the wife and kids to switch. To me, it is about the money. To them, it is about the kids clubs (11 and 13), Aquaduck, Disney shows, BYOB, soda machine, Disney characters, Castaway Cay, etc. (As I type that out, I realize that I might not even be able to convince myself.) I am just having a hard time wanting to fork out an extra grand or two for the Dream 4 day, when I could be on a 7 day for less.

I hear ya! I have been checking RCI prices lately and we can do a 7 night western on FoTS for $3500 in an OV for the 4 of us. I won't know until tomorrow how much the same cruise on the Fantasy is going to be but RCI is already $1500 less than the same cruise last year on DCL. I really want to book the Fantasy but DH is being clear headed and wants to look at other options. We love DCL and have cruised the Dream twice and will be sailing on the Magic in 32 days and would really like to cruise with them again but the prices are outrageous.

I recently discovered Cruise Critic has a great RCCL forum. They are about as active as the Dis. The only problem is there are so many ships, it's hard to find the info you're looking for. Best of luck!

Thanks. We have decided to hang on to our Disney reservation for now. Once we see how much flights will be, then we will make our decision. I think chances are very good that we scrap Disney and go to RCL out of New Orleans or Galveston and drive.
