Hi Jason,

I hope you don't take this the wrong way. I say it out of concern, not criticism. I really enjoy reading the threads about all the neat plans you make and I think the girls you date are darn lucky to know you. I do think you become attached a little too fast though and I suspect your mother might feel the same way. It seems like just yesterday you were over the moon about the girl you took to Vegas and Cancun. I'm glad you're excited and happy about the new lady in your life, as I suspect your mom is, I think she just may be a little concerned that you'll get hurt.

ITA with Honu. I'm sure you're mom is just looking out for you and doesn't want to see her baby boy get hurt. Don't be upset with her, she just loves you as any mother should. Have a fantastic date!

No thanks for posting and I know what your saying completely. While some might think we are going to fast, we both agree that we are going at the right speed and right direction for what we want and can't be more happier.

This is the young lady you are coming to LA to see this weekend? I remember you asking for help with LA hotels. You only met her on a vacation recently right? So I would think your mom is just worried that you are too involved too fast too long-distance. She will relax as the relationship progresses.

I learned the hard way that I got caught up in the situation while on vacation and thought one thing when they thought another. They wanted to have fun with no string attached and I thought something comepletely different. Yes the one in LA did ask me to come out, but as a friend only and that isn't what I was looking for. Trust me I learned my lesson about meeting people while on vacation and them wanting any kind of relationship. I'm not saying that something long term can't happen, but in both of these cases they went down in flames. All I was looking for is my soulmate that one person who completes you and I was looking in all the wrong places until now. It wasn't until I met Toni and we started talking that I realized how a real relationship worked and what needed to be done to make it work.

I can't go back and stop what happened on my two trips because it happened and it's now overwith and I have moved on, but have learned a great deal so it's not a total loss. All I can do is be the best boyfriend and the greatest best friend that I could be to Toni as our relationship grows and grows.
