Having lurked for 9 months and overcome some early registration hiccups I wanted to say a big THANKYOU to all the disers who have provided answers to every question I think of (and many more I wouldn't have thought to ask but needed to know!) :cheer2: I'm beginning to feel like a veteran and I'm a newbie as someone posts a question and I think - I know the answer to that -I read it last week on the boards. Its also been exciting to discover a world of obsessive planners - like me. (Hubby just shakes his head) and you have introduced me to 2 new passions - Trip Reports and Food Porn.

Anyway we'll be there in 6 sleeps :tigger: This is theoretically a surprise trip for my daughter as a graduation (and two week early 17th birthday) pressie to treat her after working so hard at school for the past 2 senior years-but who really is the Disney fanatic in the family ;) I am sure she'll succumb to all that Disney magic. She knows we're going on hols but since we often do a road trip some place in Aus she has no idea and we're driving to the airport so that'll really keep her guessing a bit longer!

OT: does anyone actually visit the world and not get sick with a V and or D bug? Every trip report I read seems like illness strikes. We only have 8 days and with costs with airfares may not be back for another 5 years! I have NO time to get crook (as we say in Aus). Have packed lots of antispetic wipes!!

Staying at WL 3 to 11 Dec - gonna break the bank -may as well go the whole hog! I'm not excited - I always wake up at 3.30am and can't go back to sleep:rolleyes1
Still figuring out how to set up my signature. Have high hopes of posting a TR on return after all the Xmas chaos.

Aussie Wendy,

Congrats on your trip. I'm excited for you. I've been 4 times and never got sick. Other than being a handwashing fanatic, no special precautions taken. Enjoy!

Thanks SnowWhiteMommy. Good to hear. We are all handwashers from way back too (and in my experience this is rather rare these days). Have packed some warm gear given temps of late. Coming from Qld (Florida weather) a cool spell would be fun for Xmas but I am sorry for those Americans and Brits looking for the warm weather.

Congratulations on your trip Aussie Wendy!

To answer your question about getting sick, my family has been lucky so far... In our several trips we've only had someone (my son) get sick one time. Other than that, we've all felt fine and run like mad to get from one attraction to the next all vacation long.
