Okay - so I haven't posted much but I have done hours upon hours of reading. We leave in 16 days for the long drive down I-75 and I think we're prepared.
Thanks to tips from these boards I have:
-room only reservations for 6 nights at PC (thanks to DU)
-reservations at Jameson Inns - 1 for the trip down and 1 for the trip home
-5 day PHP passes from CAA
-PS's for dinners at WCC,LTT,Teppanyaki,Boma as well as the coveted PS for breakfast at CRT for my DD's and DH's shared birthday on August 31st (again thanks to DU)
-Dave Hunter's Along I-75 book
-The Unofficial Guide
-an itinerary prepared for us by DU
-printable kid's activities for the trip - love the word searches and the journal
-Teva sandals (love them - have worn them since June)
-mister fans
-fanny pack and back pack (we'll decide when we get there)
-portable DVD player from Costco
-electric cooler
-ziploc bags (3 sizes!!)
-moleskin
-rain ponchos
- 1 reluctant husband (celebrating his 39th at MK on Aug 31st)
- 1 excited princess (celebrating her 7th at MK on Aug 31st)
- 1 excited 9yr son
And finally - 30 lbs less of me than there was when I made reservations back in the spring!! Woohoo!! - I'm going to Typhoon Lagoon - with my bathing suit!!

Anyways - it's great to have boards like this to go to for all of these great tips!

Can't wait! 16 more sleeps!

Have a wonderful time. The drive down I-75 is not bad at all with Dave Hunter's book. You can stop at Cracker Barrels and rent Books on CD as well. Dave Hunter explains how it works in his book and there are children's books to rent as well.
