Hi All

Just got back from the hospital, and no more news to report, dad is now comfortable, sleeping most of the time, due to the amount of drugs they are pumping into him. I spoke to his surgeon today who informs me that he cant operate until they get the infection under control, but sincerly hopes that will be on Monday, so fingers crossed for that.They are now 99.9% sure its the Gall Bladder. Thank you very very much for all your kind wishes , Im exhusted to be honest with you, but feel a bit better after speaking to dad's doctors.

Aww thanks so much all, you really are the best. No operation as yet but dad is much improved, he is now sitting up, and eating and talking and they say he has turned the corner thank god After speaking to his doctor today they now seem to think they are going to wait until everything settles down inside before removing the gall baldder by keyhole surgery in about 6 weeks, so they will send him home first as long as he continues to improve the way he does.

Thank you all once again for your thoughts, best wishes and pixie dust, Im feeling on cloud nine today after seeing him so much better and to top it all off Ive lost 5lbs in weight, but I think that was the stress

Glad your Dad is improving Sue.
I escorted my Mum when she had her gall bladder out with keyhole - day surgery - no probs!
I think it's a good idea to get him home and let him settle.
