I do not live in a "Disney- friendly" environment.:D None of my family or friends understand why I continue to go to the Walt Disney World Resort again and again. In fact, though they haven't said anything,I think some of them may even find my affinity for WDW to be a little "strange".;) So,without all of you fine people who post here on The DIS,I would not have an outlet to discuss WDW and all that it encompasses.I know that everyone here understands why I still get misty-eyed when I watch Spectromagic and why I still walk away shaking my head in amazement after watching IllumiNations.I know you understand the feeling I had the first time I saw Spaceship Earth and why I still get such a thrill by riding in the driver's compartment on the monorail. So,I just wanted to say thank you to all who participate on this board, where I know no one thinks my feelings for WDW are the least bit "strange"! :)

I agree!!!

I feel the same way...none of my friends (except one), family, and coworkers share my passion for Disney. In fact, I get so much "You are going to WDW, again? I don't see why anyone would want to go there." I have come unglued so many times by this comment, that I finally just walked away from everyone who asks me that question. WDW is something you can't describe in words, but you must experience it for yourself.

So, from me too...Thank you to my online WDW family!! :teeth:

Do feel the magic on each visit to WDW and this is such a great outlet for us to share that magic with each other and I think that magic rubs off on many who visit us on the Dis.We love sharing our experience's and answering question's on our favorite place.Plus I feel each question is treated with respect to the poster even if question has been answered 100 times before.Bottom line is we want everyone to have the best experience that they can have when they visit Disney in hope they will experience the magic of this wonderful place.::yes:: :wave2:

Danny,
Just know that you are not alone.
WE LOVE DISNEY TOO!!!

My DH found a quote here on the dis about three years ago and made a sign out of it that hangs on our refrigerator. It says:

" FOR THOSE THAT GET THE DISNEY MAGIC,
NO EXPLAINATION IS NEEDED.
FOR THOSE WHO DON'T,
NO EXPLAINATION WILL DO."

It is all dirty with splash marks and wrinkled but it is still there. We never throw it away.
It is our family mantra.

I will second that!!

I am lucky however to have one good friend who understands and also is a Disney nut too! Thank goodness for that.

Just wanted to add our thanks as well...there is such a wealth of info here that we learn something new each time we log on. We're often told that we're crazy to go as frenquently as we do, but now we just laugh at them all as we inform them that if you can't have fun in Disney, where there is something for everyone, that you must be doing something wrong!! We've taken trips with kids, toddlers, new borns (10 weeks), and prior to that while expecting # 3 (that's the one where I found a restroom in every land in the Kingdom and one in every country in the world :earseek: !! And, every trip just gets better and better! Live the Magic!!

I would like to add my 'THANK YOU" to all who participate and run these boards.
What a great group of people.
Walt would be proud! (I'm sure he is!)

I LOVE that quote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We get the same thoing. You are going to WDW AGAIN!! What is there to do without children. We are retired. As one poster said they just walk away. I use to try and tell them, now I just chuckle knowing that I know how nice, romatic, and so much to do at WDW.

It is funny though, that when they want to go to Disney we get a phone call about info of what is going on, where to eat, etc and sometime a room. We are DVC Members, so I guess they figure we can give them a room to use. I get called about discounts, which is the best to buy in tickets. ONe time one of these people called their daughter was getting married and thought I could help them do this for her. Told them to call the Wedding Department of Disney, They said that too expensive.

I am also grateful for all of you that share my love of all things Disney! It is so fun to come here and know that everyone is willing to take time to share their experiences. I honestly have never seen a forum so much fun to visit!

So, a great big thanks for all of those who visit, maintain and make this board possible!:grouphug:

I love it hear too. I live in a house where right now I am the only WDW fanatic. DH doesn't get it! I am however in the process of addicting DD who is 5. We are going on her 3rd trip in Oct. My brainwashing is going according to plan. She loves to see how the countdown is ticking away!:smooth:
I love that I can come here and be with others that get it too. Thanks guys!!
