It has been quite a long day, with the most difficult one to come tomorrow. Thanks to Lisa for making the long drive for the wake - I did manage to stand for 3 hours, and was overwhelmed with the support of many whose lives either Roger had impacted along the way, or our daughters and myself have...amazing!
Thank you for your prayers, support and friendship. You have no idea how much it is appreciated. Tomorrow will be awful, but it is the quiet days when our daughters and family are not with me full time that will be saddest. So many of you have experienced this already, so I can surely understand it.
Guess retirement might just wait for a while - think I might need these great students I have to keep me alert and joyful.

Caroline, I imagine yesterday was physically and emotionally draining for you. Today, I just can't imagine.

Your family must have thought I was a nut. The second I walked into the viewing room, I had to smile. All the pictures of Roger and family, some at Disney, some of important days, some of regular every days, showed a loving tribute to a special man. Tears are okay, it shows a special love. Your grandson, what a trooper. He showed me his Disney watch...Grandpa's Disney watch that he was now wearing. We talked about treasuring the time he spent with Grandpa this summer.

Your DIS family is here for you. I know we can't ease your heartache, but feel free to let us help you in whatever way we can.
