My dear friends,

I haven't been here in awhile but I wanted to drop a thank you to this board for providing me and my partner valuable information on doing Disney with a disability.

Sadly, my partner passed away a week ago. But, because of your information, we were enjoying Disney for our 4th anniversary 10 days before he passed. This particular trip was our 6th to WDW since he became disabled. In addition, we were able to go to Sea World, Disneyland, Vero Beach DVC and a trip up north to see family. He also did a trip or 2 by himself to visit out of town hospitals to try to fix his condition.

If you are new to this board, I can assure the information here is gold. If you are a caretaker to someone disabled, particulary newly disabled, (DP was disabled for the last 2 years of his life), I have you in my prayers. It was/is not easy. As painful as it is right now, I take comfort in knowing he can walk without pain.

Again, thank you for being here, especially to the moderators who keep this board here and humming.

Luv 'n' Stuff

I am sorry to hear of your loss.

At least you can take comfort in the fact that you two were able to enjoy some Disney magic prior to his passing. :grouphug:

I am sorry for your loss. I am glad you had a chance to enjoy Disney together!

Sorry to hear of your loss...So happy to hear you were able to enjoy some Disney Magic with him before his passing...:grouphug:

:grouphug: All my love to you during your time of grief.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. So good to hear you were able to enjoy Disney together and do many things recently.

I am so sorry to hear of his passing. It is wonderful that you got to make some special memories. May those comfort you now.

Gulp.

I am so sorry for your loss. I pray angels all over and through your family
ministering and guiding and loving and holding during this difficult time.

Blessings,

I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad that you got to make some very special memories with your father, they will always be priceless.

Thank you for sharing your ‘bittersweet’ news.
Sad to hear that your partner passed away, but glad to hear that you were able to make some sweet memories to hold onto.

I am truly honored to be able help people to make sweet memories. That is the pay for what I do.

As the previous poster said, this is definitely bittersweet news. First, my deepest condolences.:hug::hug::hug::hug: Now that is one of many ways Disney(magic) touches the lives of all, even of those clinging on to life. I'm praying for you Bob!

I, too, am so sorry for your loss. As long you hold your partner in your heart and soul you will always be together.:grouphug:

I am so sorry for your loss. I know nothing I can say will make it better, but I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you.:grouphug::hug:

So, so sorry about your loss, Bob. My condoleances.

But remember, you're not "just Bob now". It's pure pain and grief not to be able to see Bruce anymore, talk, touch or just hear something as simple as him taking a breath or his laughter. But you are still Bob and Bruce. He's in your hart and soul. He's in memories, he's in your love for Disney, he's in every fiber of you. He's looking over you, I'm sure. It's not the same, it'll never be, but neither of you are alone. You both are Bob and Bruce, for ever.
