Thank you Mickey and gang

I am writing a special thank you to Mickey and all of those that got involved in behalf of April and her last wishes - I just received a phone call from Disney and apparently all of the characters, crew members, everyone from the Wonder including D.A.I.D, took up a small collection to send a bouquet of flowers to April's services but even more - all the characters took the time to autograph a photograph hoping they could get it to her in time since she couldn't go on the cruise -they also donate a big stuff Mickey - I am going down to give it to her mom and dad so that they can do with it as they wish - I spoke with them and they were just overwhelmed that so many of you took such interest - Mickey, Minnie and all of the characters that took the time to do this -----Someday your blessings will come back more than double fold ----I will request Regina to close this thread, but to leave it long enough so those that contributed so much especially the members of Disney Wonder, to know that their thoughtfulness, was more than appreciated.
I am sending a large memorial garden which will be from this Dis board.

How WONDERful that Disney was all ready to act to give this girl her wish. I'm so sorry she didn't get to have it fulfilled, but I agree with a previous poster that I'm sure Mr. Disney has met up with little April in paradise.

Shirley, you are one heck of a woman. Thank you for everything you've done for April and her family and that you shared April with us, even just briefly. I hope to meet you in person someday!

Mickey, Minnie and the gang....Your magic is the reason I can't get enough of DCL or WDW. Even as you're heading backstage and needing a break, you'll never turn away the child who runs up to you, longing just to say Hi.

To the Wonder crew who acted on this....I've been on 2 cruises on the Wonder this year. I've not seen people who work harder to make everyone's vacation as perfect as possible. I'll see you in November!! (after that our next cruises are on the Magic, and I'm already sad about missing seeing you guys!!!)

Helena, with the Disney team at the port, just left here and we decided on a huge baskets of green plants with fresh flowers -
I posted wrong as tho whom was involved with donation - it was a small group that knew of April - Apparentley the word got around by D.A.I.D. that April was to have one heck of a welcoming - anyhow Helena and her group donate a large sailor Mickey and a photograph of all the characters that signed their name and made out to April from "all of your pal's" - the card is precious. I know her mom and dad are going to be very touched.
On our card and gift - I just wrote that even tho we didn't her April, we had come to love this little girl.
That is it --------end of story --well more or less.

I'm sorry so it had to come to this, but yet again those on this board continue to show the caring and compassion that makes coming here a daily joy, only occasionally laced with sorrow.

I just spoke with Shirley, aka Mother of our Dis board
on the phone. She asked me to please relay the message to THANK each and everyone who has offered to donate towards April's flowers. However, her shop has decided to donate the arrangement of plants w/fresh flowers incl. a beautiful angel in the garden, on behalf of the Dis Board. She would like us to hold off on donations until Amanda and family get to go on their cruise if we feel we'd like to help. Sun Cruise will donate their Limo services at that time. Again, she truly appreciates the overwhelming response through calls, cards, emails, PM's.

I was thinking last night, how we could make Amanda's trip special, whenever it should be. This poor girl, watched her sister suffer and pass away at such a young age.

Anyhow I wanted to add that Cheryl with Sun Cruz who was going to provide the limo for April and her family called me a while ago, just before I spoke to nana4, and informed me that when they family is ready to go again, Sun Cruz will be providing the limo for them - she was so sorry to hear about April and since the family does hope to go to have a celebration of life for April, I was so thrilled to hear that she went and committed to do this - I love niceness - what a shame the whole world isn't like this board, but it is catching isn't it?

I am making this my last post on April that is until the family decides to sail when their lives get back together, but before I say what I plan to let me enlighten everyone - first I sincerely appreciate all the kind words, but you have to remember I am really you - for you would have done the same thing as I have done and you wouldn't want any special recognization for something that should be done by everyone in this whole wide world - there is not one of you that wouldn't have done the same thing had you been in my shoes - right? Well now that we have that subject straight - honest I feel each of you are great - honest and all the kind things said about me, I say about you.
what I wanted to say was I am going to April's viewing tomorrow - I am going to represent all of us and also give April's mom and dad the thread that I first printed out - I just thought it would give them so much comfort that so many "strangers" cared about their child - since there were 94 post and all of them so kind, it was something I had to do - I understand that captain Mickey is going to be put with April - boy she must have a big smile on her face -
