We had a fantastic time at the Biergarten in Germany, as we do on every trip! Great food, wonderful service and such great entertainment!!!
On this trip, DS5 and DS2 each made (colored on) little "Thank You" notes I printed out and cut for them. They kept the little tags in their pockets to hand out to CMs who made their trip extra special. DS5 had such a great time dancing and playing and was so impressed by the wonderful band that he gave our server a "Thank You" for each band member. She took them up to their green room in between sets. (She also got a "Thank you" and should have one here as well! But, I've forgotten her name!) I went to get another plate of food, leaving DH, DS and DS at the table. And, when I came back, Martin from the band was at our table chatting with DS5!
He thanked DS for the little note, and gave him a Mickey Mouse chocolate coin. DS was beyond thrilled, and keeps talking about his friend Martin. The coin was lost in an unfortunate luggage accident on the way home (a whole 'nother thread 
) but, until then DS had refused to eat it. He wanted to put it in his "treasure box" (his box of special 5 yr old boy things) at home. We plan on purchasing him another coin - even if it won't be quite the same - and I'm going to print out the really nice picture of Martin and DS that we took and let him have that as his "memory" instead.
It was a simple thing... but really made magic for our DS. I know how exhausting performing can be, and to take that brief break to come and visit our table was above and beyond.
Thank you Martin! for making my DS smile and giving him a truly magical vacation!
