I'll start out by saying we had some rotten luck prior to the start of our WDW trip:
We started our trip by flying into P.Rico on the 12th . Stayed in San Juan that 1st night, then rented car and drove across the island. We managed to have a family reunion of sorts for 5 days. On the Wed night prior to the day we were to drive back we had terrible storms which knocked out power. (Waaay worse than anything that would happen up here) That following morning we drove back to San Juan for 2 more nights. We surprised the kids on Friday night saying we weren't leaving to come home on Saturday Morning, but rather flying into MCO at 906 a.m. So we needed to pack and get to bed early and wake up early....
Early Sat. morning @ 4 am we get a call from (J%# B*^@) airline that the decided to CANCEL my flight . I'm like (HUH?) Why? Uhm plane troubles, they say. So instead they say the best we can do is get us out on a flight @ 8:30 PM Mon. night....I'm like Are you serious? 2 1/2 days later. No good... They said they have something into Tampa but only at 8 pm Sun nite. I said what about FLL, & he said we do have 1 leaving in less than 2 hours.
Well you want to talk about High tailing it....Getting the kids up & dressed, to grabbing all our bags, to checking out, to grabbing a taxi, to literally seeing an accident happen right ahead of us(en route to airport) to just getting our bags checked in, on time....After a short delay from so more storms we finally take off around 630 or so.
Now we have to find a way to get to GFV from (FLL). I call (car rental) to get a rate for a 1 way ride & to drop it off near the DS area. Well I figured a 212 mile journey, so probably 3 1/2 hours or so....Nope...Fla. tpk had a ACCIDENT(80 miles ahead of us )which took a lil while to clear so we new we were going to be a lil behind. In the meantime we got a phone call from my MIL saying that there was a message on our home phone from someone from Disney that had called looking for us. I'm like great, what else now...So my DW calls only to find out that No longer were we booked in a DVC Studio anymore.....I Said WHAT!!! She says Nope, they've moved us to a 2 BR.....** Almost drove off the road!!** I said o.k. but let's not get our hopes up, until we actually get there and see for ourselves.
Well low and behold, they were right, we were no longer in a studio DVC, or in any room in that bldg. They said we don't need to go to the front desk that we can proceed to our room which was 5141 in Sago Key along with 5144 to combine to make the Cape Coral Suite.
Not only was this waaay more room than I could ever imagine but low & behold this room also allowed us to utilize the club levels at the main bldg. & also Sugar Loaf... Something we would never be able to afford.. The silver lining in all of this is to basically stay positive no matter what. Deal with what comes your way & proceed forward.....
My last question if I may is How do I go about thanking or writing a letter to?
P.S. Sorry for the long boring story...
