Thank you for suggesting 2 seperate flights it cost me $20 more

I have been trying to save for this trip and its either I save time or I save money.

Looking at flights and with a west to east trip they are long and expensive and frankly I was not happy.

Well I saw somebody post about booking 2 one ways instead of a round trip.

Well I tried it and it would cost me $20 in airfare to go that route for all 6 of us.

Well here is the kicker this $20 increase would land us at our local airport which would be a 15 minute taxi ride home rather then a rental car and 2 hour drive.

When all said and done booking 2 one ways will be cheaper.

When I first read your title, I thought you were being sarcastic - - - that booking your flights separately cost you $20 more and you were blaming the DISBoards for the extra expense.

But after reading your message, I now understand that you are very happy because that extra $20 is going to save your family an expensive rental car 2-hour ride home! Congratulations!!

Yes my title is a bit sarcastic. Its just the way I think sometimes.


I never thought about doing 2 one ways before or piece mealing a trip but this trip is heading that way and this is all thanks to the folks here.
