Just back from our 1st trip to DL & U Hollywood (along with Vegas & the Grand Canyon), awesome experience!
Wanted to thank all who patiently answered my newbie questions
"Your" park is a treasure
, so glad to have had the opportunity to visit!
The Indy ride is amazing & Space Mt was also fantastic, along with all the great entertainment.
The ability to navigate the park so quickly was unexpected. It is a marvel as to how the imagineers managed to pack so much "punch" into the land available.
BTW, DLH is certainly comparable to the WDW Deluxe resorts; the hotel was absoltely charming. We were upgraded to an upper pool view room in the main tower
(could've had double beds facing fireworks too)
hard to believe the hotel is vintage, really kept up well imo.
fyi, if u get a chance to tour the new DVC model, u will be impressed as to how luxe it is, should be a great addition

joke coming..... It is a big hole in the ground!.... lol
. Never did make it to opening @ DL, did get to DCA twice @ 9:30 am & headed directly to Toy Story Line...which is just great! Worked well one day, 2nd day ride didn't open & we bailed around 11 am
; i referenced gory details in another thread. Hopefully, all the bugs will get worked out soon.
every time we checked 90 mins. Finally, gave family the choice of waking up for EMH or just tuffing it out in line. They picked the afternoon line which was stated as 1 hour. Only took about 45 min.; well worth the wait. I had gone on the subs in WDW & wanted them to experience it, everybody thought it was well done....far better than disappointing Nemo ride @ Epcot imo.
, not really in mood to get soaked...didn't look too hard lol. Didn't think TOT was quick on par with the WDW version, still fun & DS finally rode it
. LUVED Alladin show!!!
, ESPN & Rainforest Cafe (on the roof, nice breeze in the evening & food was better here than @ any of the other RFC that we've tried) & Blue Bayou
both studio & 1 BR seemed wider than the other DVC units i've seen.
will say that a couple guides i did talk to @ DL told me they had to move their vacations up to June due to big announcement(s) this summer.
