1. Doofenslurpers. I found them!

2. Frogg Toggs, yes we used them. It was hot last week. But how do you store them? They get pretty stiff.

3. CM thank you cards. I told my dad about them and he used a couple himself.

Finally, I saw the American Experience, after who knows how many visits to Epcot. This has probably been mentioned before, but I think Sam the Eagle should be doing character appearances there.

I *thought* I spent a lot of time browsing the DIS and I didn't understand a word you just said. :confused3

The best way to use/store the Frogg Togg is to take a small, bottle sized soft cooler and fill it with ice water. Keep the frogg togg in it when not in use. Keeps it soft AND cold!!

Sam the Eagle doesn't really have anything to do with the American Adventure -- if anything, he's a Muppet caricature of someone who is so staunchly patriotic that it borders on being a bit silly. I'm not sure that's the direction they'd want to take with a character greeting there. Not to mention that, thematically, Sam belongs at the Studios with the rest of the Muppets, not at Epcot.

FWIW, they do have patriotic versions of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald who are often doing M&Gs on patriotic holidays.

Had to google doofenslurper! Will make sure the kids find this when we go in 3 weeks!

Another Frogg Togg tip--just keep wetting it and store it in the container it comes in if you can't keep it in a cooler. Get it good and wet, put in the container and pop in the fridge at night. We use these for sports regularly and store them in the off season in the fridge in the container.

Which frogg togg size is the best? Towel, pad, sports towel? Amazon has so many choices:confused3

We bought ours when they first came out so there was only one size. If you are using for Disney and not for sports, too, I would say the smaller one would be fine. Ours are rectangle shaped, about 18x24 maybe? We have had them for at least 5 years and have never thought to take them to Disney. *facepalm* haha! I will pack them this year!!

ETA: Ours are the 33x13 ones. I think the sports size would be plenty big!!

Doofenslupers: they're by the Canadian Pavilion (blue tent? I think she said, blue something) and the trading outpost near Germany. You have to ask for them, they're not listed.

Thanks for the Togg suggestions, but I'm storing them long term. I have no idea when I'll be using them again, so getting them wet is not ideal. EDIT: okay, rereading, I see I can store them in the fridge wet and cold indefinitely.

First poster, you can google toggs and doofenslurpers, but for the third items, if a CM has done something very special for you or your family, go to guest services and fill out a card. So make sure you remember their name at the time.

I know the American Pavilion is serious and he'd never be allowed there. But I LOVE Sam the Eagle. LOVE him!

I also had a great idea for a Merida attraction. When the WTP and MPhilharmagic get rid of the fast pass area, they should build a Merida archery game. There will be four screens with trees and targets, floor to ceiling, like TSM, four trees with a horizontal black post to attached a one piece bow/arrow contraption, that can move up and down depending on the person's height. You stick your card in each tree, get 60 sec and 10 arrows. High scores of the day are listed on the side. There's fog in the day, and as the sun sets, the screens get darker and torches on the screen light up. There can be hard and easy targets.

I bought three and cut them lengthways so we had six and they were perfect.

How funny, just bought a Frogg Togg(the towel) yesterday on Amazon to lay down in the baby's stroller in case it's too hot when we go. Have never seen it here mentioned on the DIS before, but saw it on a Disney board on Pinterest. Glad others here recommend it too :thumbsup2

Thanks, putting my order in now.

This is a GREAT idea!! As for storing them in the fridge, they will get a little crisp and smelly after a while, but I just wet them and pop in the washer for freshen them up. Nothing worse then wiping your sweat and having it stink! LOL!! They can be machine washed! :thumbsup2

You can store the Frogg Toggs dry as well. Just wash them in the washing machine, let them air dry and put them away. They'll be stiff but that's ok.

Next time you want to use them, run them through the wash again.
