Just wanted to send a big thank you to you all.

It was very hard for me as a mother to hear the words Autism linked to my son, I knew there was something wrong but it is always a shock, and in truth I got a bit down.

But posting on here and all the help and love, support and kindness you showed really, really helped.

I can say, I'm over the extra worry (Well I am a parent, so it my job to worry) and I know what ever challenges we face there are always kind and lovely people out there with support and advice.

I also know that this will be the best holiday ever, going to take it slow let him lead and just let him be him.

So what if we can't eat at certain places or go on certain rides as long as he is smiling, I'll be happy.

So you guys keep being as brilliant as every and just know that I am very appreciative of all the help.

Now saying that, I have another question, do they have quieter or less crowded areas for people to watch the MK parades? (Well at least now I won't have to worry about the Electrical Parade :P)

There is really no place I find man street by the flag poll to be less crowded. Some times by country bears. I would find a spot about 45 minutes before and get a snack ( ice cream) and wait for the parade

We found that being at the front, sitting on a curb maybe, to see the parade, but be less aware of people crowding behind helped. Just seeing the parade, and having a visible way out iyswim?
Maybe doing that with small person in safe pushchair?

Ok so my experience may not be applicable to your group goes like this. My autistic twins do Disney in medical strollers tagged as wheelchairs and we use the generally less crowded wheelchair parade viewing areas. You will still need to get to one of them 45min ish early but they don't pack them in like sardines. i would avoid main street like the plague. We try to find a wheelchair viewing area near the beginning of the parade route (this changes if it runs twice) but not on main so you don't have to wait to long for the parade to get to you. Now here is the rub, this works for us with twins but the rule for wheelchair seating is one able body per chair. With out knowing the make up of your group i don't know if that will fly.

It depends on multiple factors as to how many people are allowed in the HC viewing area with the "disabled" guest. When we have traveled as a family of 3, we were never asked to split up so that the 3rd person had to watch alone. We have even been allowed in as a family of 4 as well too....again just depending on how busy things are.
