So I may need to put my flame suit on but I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to all of you who have been so helpful and answered all of my dumb questions!

I just went over to some of the other boards and quickly closed my browser.

DH and I have come into some money not much but more than we are use to, and we are talking about purchasing AP's. Now with this trip and the new Fastpass + or whatever its called has been making me literally have panic attacks thinking about our trip or possible trips! I wanted to see if I bought AP and then booked the campsite if I still got the magic bands and everything else, and was so surprised at the Them park board just about all of the negativity. I know Disney is expensive and people pay really good money to go, but is it honestly really all that bad right now? I just turned to DH and asked him should we even bother going? I feel like for the first time I am going down with no knowledge at all and Im the one who always gave advice to family and friends. I love Disney I do no know what it is but it gives me a feeling of happiness. We were looking at going the first week in march(possibly staying in a room because apparently we are supposed to get a huge snow storm in the next week and Im afraid I can not get the Pop up out) as DS has been improving immensely with reading and his teacher said he may do him so good. Then going back in August and maybe DH taking a long weekend in October. But reading all of this negativity and just everyone going after each other is really just making me second guess.

So in the end I just want to say even if its behind a computer screen the group over here just seems so great and friendly and I want to thank all of you for that!

Rant over! :)

We spent 10 days at Christmas and had no problems. I was nervous about it and it took a little more planning at home before we got there. We are going back in March and looking forward to it.

:goodvibes

Sounds like a good idea. 3 visits should get you your monies worth from the AP. You might even get a discount on your room.

I haven't ever camped before, but the people in this forum are so nice, I want to buy a camper!!!!

We have found the difference between hotel staying and camping are worlds apart. Pass someone in a hotel and they don't make eye contact. At the Fort they have a friendly greeting. You will love it and will be anxious to return.

Relax and ignore all the negativity out there. You have to remember forums give people a big voice to complain. People that are happy are out having a life instead of sitting on the computer looking for someone to flame.

This place is different. We all love camping and Disney. That makes us special :cool1:

I haven't been down since FP+, but a lot of people on here have. I'm sure they will be jumping in soon. I'm interested in how they work with APs too. The whole process (MagicBands too) sounds fun, but I'm one of those researcher/planner types. My DW shows up and says, "wow, they must have changed FastPass and what are these bands all about?" Meanwhile, I'll have had our FP+ for weeks and have already customized my band and have the trip linked. :bitelip:

I have been to Disney more years than most people on here have lived (since 73) every year. I find that life is what you make it. Over the years we always have fun and sometimes little things may go wrong but over all, its always fun to be at WDW.
I know a lot of people complain about things but Disney is a Resort experience, as I look back over the years the little things that some CM"s have done has made it all worthwhile and remember to put those memories in your memory book, life is short..

I'm with Becky. I truly believe your trip is what you make of it. If you go with the mindset that FP+, Brazilian tour groups, rude CMs, poor food, (or whatever it is people are griping about today) are going to ruin your trip, you're going to end up with a ruined trip.

We go with the expectation that we're going to be in Disney and we want to have fun. People budge in line, but we don't let it ruin our trip. Rain interferes with plans, so we make other plans on the fly.

It's all in your state of mind!
