Hi, I'm new posting on here but have been reading all your posts for the last few weeks.

Myself, my partner and two sons are off to the magic on 28th September. We are staying at the Cheyenne for four nights.

I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to all those experts out there who have provided so much useful information. :thumbsup2

I just have one question (for now!) - would you take a buggy for a (just turned) four year old? He hasn't been in one since he was two but I don't relish having to carry a tired grumpy boy around when he runs out of steam later in the afternoon.

Thanks

If he would use it..happily then yes! my boys dont mind sitting in buggies, but i know other children of four who would me mortified of the idea! haha. wont do any harm to take it.. you can always leave it in your room if it doesnt get used.. but for me it was a lifesaver when my son was 4.. he would still use it now (6) if i would let him! haha

I probably would take one. We have a 3.5 year old who never uses a buggy at home and we didn't take one for her last time we went (she turned 3 there) However we also have a 2 year old who was 18 months at the time and so she just pinched his buggy sometimes when her legs were tired and he wanted to stretch his!! :-)

That said she only went in it a few times. If budgets not a problem I wouldn't bother and you can always hire one if needs be but if you don't want to pay for one and it's no hassle to take one then I would.

Hmmm not sure if I've really given you an answer at all there but hope it helps anyway!! :)

Have a lovely trip!!!

Yes, take a buggy.

Our ds was 4 and a half when we went last year and is big for his age, however he would never have managed without the buggy even although he had not used one at home for over a year.

The walk to and from the hotel/parks/bus can be quite tiring even for adults after a long day at the parks. It's also really handy for storing extra coats/jumpers/juice etc.

You can hire buggys there, but you cannot take them out to the hotels. I found it invaluable and am starting to wonder how we'll manage without one this time - although he is 6 now.....sure he'll be fine, just I won't have anywhere to put all my stuff :rotfl::rotfl:

Hi,
We're in exactly the same boat, heading out on Wed 29th for 3 nights staying at cheyenne, DD is 4 next month and we#re constantly changing our mind about taking a buggy!
Is it still free to take it with easyjet?

Might see you there :)

I'd take one. We didn't when ds was nearly 4 and he was shattered. We hired one one day but the queue was huge and took nearly an hour to get it, and I have read they run out on busy days. The second time we went we stayed for EMH and found one someone had abandoned at about 7pm (which was a godsend for the rest of the time but we really struggled to get him back to the hotel as he was so tired!

im glad you have found the forum helpful. i would have been lost without it on my first trip

i will be taking a buggy for my dd who will be four in december. i know she wont deal well with the walking. its much easier to push a buggy around empty and have it there when its needed than to go without and have a heavy, tired, cranky kid on your hands

if you have one you can take then i would, if not you can always hire one when you get there.

Thanks everyone, think I have pretty much decided to take the buggy. If he doesn't want it all the time I can always leave it parked in one of the buggy parking areas and collect it later on (my take my other son's bike lock just in case).

Not sure about Easyjet, we are going with Air France so think we'll be ok checking it in.

Thanks again.

Hi,

Is it still free to take it with easyjet?

yes it is still free with easy jet, you just take the pushchair to the gate, and they load it on the plane then

I would say if in doubt, take one, if it stays in your room, you haven't lost anything.

As another has said, you have to pay to take it out of the park, and that was the time we found we needed it most, at the end of a long day, the walk back to your hotel can seem very far to a little one! It also means you can pick up the pace if its raining!!
