A bitter sweet day for the Dave..... I am a single man again. I would like to say thanks to all the wonderful people here on this site. You all have truly helped me move forward. A toast to you all!:grouphug:

Congrats Dave. I think I hear the May Meet calling your name...
Dave....ohhhh Dave..............

Congrats! Glad you finally got everything done...now that you are single...ummm...LMAO!

Congrats...if it wasn't meant to be it certainly is a good feeling when it is done with.

My mom said If i cant say anything nice dont say anything at all...but then again, I never listened to my mother..LMAO!

Hopefully this will give you the needed closure to fully move on, and start a new chapter of your life. Congratulations. . . And look forward, cause you never know whats in store for you.

Congratulations!! Since we have to "behave" as you say on this thread, I will just say that it is a hard process no one ever really wants to go through, but we all somehow make it through!! Now, about May.....

Andrea

Congratulations....and sympathies. It is bittersweet.

The good news is now you can build your life--the way you want it.

Well, time to start rebuilding and believe me the next victim will like Disney as much as I do:thumbsup2 I made it the first day!

Congrats on day one--much like a 12 step program you have to take it one day at a time.

And what do you mean "victim?" You mean the next lucky princess/pirate wench will like Disney as much as you do--right?

Congrats on the status......it's never easy, but support is a wonderful thing whenever you can find it.

The DIS is a pretty cool place. :grouphug: .....and much cheaper, than therapy!

I wish mine would hurry up....its been prolonged for toooo long. to you my friend. When one door closes a new one opens.

Just my 2 cents...

My folks ended up 'single' after 23 years, because 'they got married for the wrong reasons.' (ie-ME)

Now, they're with people that they CHOSE, not ppl they were 'supposed' to be with. And they're ALL deliriously happy.

Somewhere out there is a soul-mate for everyone; just have the courage to find that person.

And if they happen to be a Disney freak, well, that's just bonus points!!

Cliches are cliches for a reason - they're true.

A door closes, & another one opens.

Just find the door - so, yes, it is a reason to be happy.

Davy, Davy Davy. . you already knew you were going to make it through the first day, and the second and the third. Make sure you have some fun before you settle down with a good wench. . .have some rebound fun. . .

It's another chapter in life, and if it closes one that wasn't as good as you'd hoped, then there's that much more chance to make the next one better (imnsho).

Hmm...maybe that's what I need.

Actually, I agree, but with reservations. Make sure the rebound fun, if you choose it, isn't something you'll later regret. My divorce was final 4.5 years ago now, and in the aftermath, I did some things that...well, just don't go crazy. :lmao:

Its been 7 years for me EXACTLY this day (16 April). I have had a few laughs and lots of fun. I now find myself in the "odd" position of wanting to settle down but not wanting to settle. Ah well. This thread is not about me. Dave, what I did mean was enjoy your new life.
