What a cool, beautiful night it was last night.

We slept with the windows open on freshly washed sheets. Ah! It felt so good.

It was a great night last night. Those wonderful breezes and waking up in the morning to a golden sunshine day and seeing that it's only in the 70s in our house (as opposed to the upper 80s). Ah....

It's actually cooler today. Very nice. I just got in from collecting rose petals and I didn't even feel hot.

I sat out on my deck last night, just after a good rain (which is very rare here in dry Colorado this summer). The smells were almost intoxicating (although I've never been intoxicated, so I'm just guessing). I finished a book and then just listened. What an evening. (I was also avoiding my in-house mouse; I think he's stalking me
