Tgm???

I think TGM is a great purchase. We've been to WDW many times, but only when I used TGM last time did I feel like we accomplished a lot in a little time. It also helped me plan a LOT better. That, combined with my Passporter were perfect for planning. Although as several pointed out, you could probably get a lot of similar opinions and info on DIS and other places, I don't have the time to sort through all the posts to find the info I need. TGM put it all there for me to use.

I'm arranging with Guest services for one to be in our room as a surprise when we check in. The kids will love it!

It is true. You have to make your ADR's blindly at the 180 day mark. However, he does have a few general rules(read his restaurant section). I went ahead and booked the places I knew I had to have on certain days like my son's birthday and a few other must haves. I waited for the rest until his dates came out. After that I did what all obsessive compulsive Disney Planners do. I changed my mind a couple times, asked advice from the boards and stressed about it. Buy hey, I would have done that anyway.

For my December 2007 trip the crowded park charts came out in June, so I had mine in enough time for the 180 day mark. He has to wait for the official Disney hours to come out before he starts calculating, sometimes that holds things up, but generally most people get their parks charts before the 180 day mark.

I am so happy to hear that:cloud9: ; i am traveling dec 19, 2008 and was worried that the least crowded days list was not going to be available for me to make my ADR's on time. I really didn't want to plan it blindly (but i was going to if i had no choice)but now i can breathe i sigh of relief, i know is a little early to start planning but i cant help myself whenever i book a trip (which is usually a year ahead) i start planning and re-planning, is almost a conpulsive need to go thru my plans, budgets, ADR's , going on different forums and packing list daily. Please tell me I'm not the only one to do this, my daughter thinks im nuts but when is time for vacation she is happy that i got everything planned out so that she can enjoy her favorite dining places and being able to do everything on her to do list.

I have to say this is true too! It is good if you don't go to Disney often and want all the information in one place. I used it for the best days list but didn't follow them exactly. He is correct on his best and worst days. However we both got sick on this trip and had to alter our plans. It wasn't for me, however I do not feel I wasted the money. I was testing something new! Its not going to break the bank and most love it so why not give it a try!

Ok....so I went and purchased TGM. It is an interesting read, but like a pp said - somewhat hard to navigate the website. Problem is we already have ADR's for every day - and many go against his green/red days/nights. No changing them now! We leave in 9 days! :yay: But, it is good to have all the info in case we park hop! :thumbsup2

To any others who read this thread. TGM really is something you should get months in advance of your trip. As the pp said, it doesn't really help you if you're a couple weeks out. I navigate that site like a pro now, but it did take a few weeks of messing with it to understand how he has it set up.

To the poster going in Christmas 08, be sure to go to the forums and join your vacation club. You are going to find a lot of us planning nuts there and it's a lot of fun! It's like a support group. :rotfl2:

i requested to join the December 07 club and then i will join the Dec 2008 to get more information and tips, i have read his web site and i agree that if you have the time to look thru it, it gets easier everyday to navigate, like mike says he is giving his expertise and we gotta use that info and tailor it to our vacation in the best way we see fit, so far his touring plans make sense I'm just glad that I have a few days to devote to each park, because even with his touring plan i will probably go nuts trying to do everything in one day (and this is coming from someone who goes in August from about 10am to close and does all the evening EMH) but I havent dealt with those type of crowds since 1998 when i went for July 4th.
