I asked this question on a different thread but I don't think anyone is reading it anymore so I thought I'd start over;)

Do TGM and UG/touringplans.com give you basically the same information as far as touring plans, crowd levels, best days to do the parks, etc.?

Do they ever contradict one another? If they do which one is more accurate?

This will be our first trip and I've read UG and subscribed to the website but now I just heard about TGM...should I subscribe to that also? Or will it just be repetitive???

I'm an obsessive planner:confused3

I use them both. I like the crowd calendar on UG; I like the detailed info on TGM better. The TGM website is a little overwhelming at first, but if you are a compulsive planner, you will like all the information. I think you can use the best of both websites to plan a great trip!

Both of them say the same basic information. However there are small differences. TGM usually gives you his theory as to why he chooses something over another. It can be tricky to learn how to work his site as opposed to reading a book but you will find people on the "TGM" boards that really know what they are talking about. If they don't know about something it doesn't exsist. I also like flipping through the book and the practicality of having a physical resource at hand any time as opposed to having to be at the computer. So I like both of them. For the price of either I figure I've gained hours of enjoyment (I looove the planning part) and have saved myselve a fair bit of time in lineups as well. Having both was double the fun.
