Ok so we are going for 10 days july 31 - aug 10th. my question is ... Does anyone reccommend TGM"? Is he commando? IS there room to relax? Or is it best to go on your own? I want to see a lot but i know 10 days may not be enough if we want to relax some! ANy advice?

I highly recommend TGM! He is definitely NOT commando and believes in taking daily breaks. We used his advice with great results and I have signed up with him again for our trip this year. Hope you have a magical trip! :sunny:

TGM is definitely NOT commando. That is why I love his product. :) Especially for those of us with kids....I feel that we relax and enjoy our vacation instead of killing ourselves in the parks.

10 days is amazing! You will be able to see and do a whole bunch with that kind of time.

If you do choose to go it alone...aka without a touring plan (UG, TGM or otherwise)...just make sure that you use FPs, make PS reservations well in advance and bring LOTS of water with you to the parks to stay hydrated!

Best of luck and have a wonderful time planning :).

Honestly we looked into getting Tour Guide Mickey and decided against it simply b/c it's going to be our honeymoon and were more interested in relaxing and running from ride to ride, rather than an actual "Disney tour." However, if you have small children going with you, they might really enjoy it. I've never heard a complaint about TGM except that he doesn't shut up at the AK. But that's a good thing considering all the wildlife information that people can get! :) Even if it just yourself or adults going then TGM might enhance the trip, but it's an extra thing that you don't need to enjoy WDW. You can have a blast with or without him.

Ummmmm... That's "Tour Guide Mike," a trip-planning website, not "Tour Guide Mickey," which I believe you're confusing with "Pal Mickey," the doll that talks as you go through the parks.

I've been using TGM to plan our trip for the end of this mth. His site is WONDERFUL and there is nothing commando about his advice. Actually, I think it would be very helpful to you planning your honeymoon so you can avoid peak crowds and really relax. Honestly, it is THE BEST info'n.

OP....I guess you can tell, I am VERY much in favor of TGM. I haven't actually used all his recommendations at the parks yet as my trip isn't until the end of this mth....but I am SOOO looking forward to it. As you can see, we have done Disney many times, and I do still read The Unofficial Guide too. But TGM is just fabulous. You won't regret it.

Although, if it was an intended mistake, it was pretty darn funny...

Still a TGM devotee, but can take a joke.

Hmmmm.... my Irony Detector is usually pretty reliable- does it need a tune-up?
