TGM and/or a guide book?

Do you still buy a guide book AND subscribe to TGM? I really want to give TGM a try because it will have up-to-date info than a pre-printed book could not. But do you suggest buying a book too and if so, which one and why? I have 2 DDs (7&4) and I had a guidebook geared for kids last year. I got WAY more info off here (of coure, that's why I am a DIS addict now)

Even though I subscribe to TGM, I'll still get a Passporter every couple of years. It has the best maps hands down.

And yes, TourGuideMike does have a forum. And yes, it's just as addicting as the DIS

I'd go for TGM. I subscribed to his service last month and there is SOOOO much info there. What I like about him is that he gives you the REASON behind his touring suggestions.

Definitely well worth the small fee!

If you do join, you may feel overwhelmed at first. There is a lot of info to sift through and you will get addicted. Just give it time and be patient. It's really a great source of info.

I bought the Unofficial Guide, then discovered TourGuideMike later. Now the Unofficial Guide is fairly superfluous. If you haven't bought anything, I'd say go with TourGuideMike, then buy additional stuff later if you feel you need more info.

All 3 Major tour guide books and TGM have very good tips and following any of them will be alot better than following none. The thing to keep in mind is that if everyone followed a particular source than that source would be invalid and inaccurate because it is suggesting strategies that everyone knows and uses.
So pick the source you are most comfortable with and go with it and have fun!

I vote for Unofficial Guide. I like the honest, no stone left unturned, approach that UG has. There is no guessing what he thinks. I also subscribe to TGM and it is very difficult(for me anyway)to navigate. I haven't gotten a dimes worth of info out of it.
