TFW Meet 2008 The Mission: Wiener Salad & Margaritas - Trip Report Links on Page 1

I just went and had another look at the Target stores and I've found one right near Mall at Millenia :yay:
Good, that's a must-do for any bargain hunter! :thumbsup2

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well... the fridge took a crapper. Off to Sears and Best Buy for a new one! :teeth:
Had to pop in and tell you what happened last night. The IL's called and told Bob that they are coming THIS WEEK! WTH? Nice, huh? So, we went from middle of Sept. the other day, to THIS WEEK???!!!
OMG. I am going to freak out. Bob was like, "WHAT!?" He said they could come as long as they LEAVE by the 21st. Great. So now I have to do all my trip preparing in 12 hours before I leave.....
MEL:banana:
Oh no:headache:
Oh I'm so jealous of you guys!!!
I saw an Allegiant ad for $79 to Orlando---was that a sign?
I wish I could go and meet you all!!!!!!!!!! My family says no more disney trips for a while, so I'll have to go by myself sometime!
Do it TE, Do it.....!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
If you could Janet that would be great, don't make a special trip though as we do have some, but you can't have too many can you :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
If I get a chance to get there this week I will let you know!
OK T look away, I cut up my passporter today :eek: I cut out the yellow TR pocket things at the back and gave them to Jess so she can document the trip, we even punched a hole in them and put them on a keyring :thumbsup2
:rotfl2:
Janet - Thank Jim for my burning eyes! :eek: :faint:
:lmao:
:dance3:
We're almost there!!!!!
:dance3:
WAHOO :yay: :yay: :yay:
Hey thanks for supporting a local business! I live in the Minnetonka area. :thumbsup2
Jim loves the Minnetonka Mocs...Hmmm, wonder if they are cheaper out there than they are here?
Well... the fridge took a crapper. Off to Sears and Best Buy for a new one! :teeth:
:woohoo: :woohoo:
unless it was secretly sabotaged....Just sayin' We wouldn't tell a soul T. :ssst:
No we won't tell, but we will hold over your head forever:rotfl2: JK T LY/MI:hug:
I use clear contact paper when I need to cover anything. I need to dig it out. I never thought about using it for my trip documents. Ya I'm going to cover everything. :thumbsup2
Ugh,:headache: Will they replce the shorts theyscrewed up at least.?
I think if i wear them a bit they will stretch out and be comphy, but they are not the same as I liked...I have to get into the frame of mind again to pack and not be all cranky this time. :)
Had to pop in and tell you what happened last night. The IL's called and told Bob that they are coming THIS WEEK! WTH? Nice, huh? So, we went from middle of Sept. the other day, to THIS WEEK???!!!
OMG! That stinks! At least you'll be distracted? Guess they didn't hear Bob when he said SEPT?!
More changes coming Kat:lmao:
Thats ok, its much easier to change now since the spreadsheet is done. I'm going to mail another copy of it Monday or Tuesday so get all those changes in ladies!!!!!
I'm loving all this excitement!!!
Ok everyone who needs help with Kat's Spreadsheet, here's the Microsoft Office Converter Pack to download:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=CF196DF0-70E5-4595-8A98-370278F40C57&displaylang=en
Basically it converts the new Microsoft Office files (which are saved with a different file extension) into the older version so that you can open. It won't do harm to your computer as it comes direct from the Microsoft website.
Kat: That sucks about the clothes. :hug: Kat did you ask V or Mo about the DDE??
Nothing from me and I'm jealous of everyone's new purchases and excited to go buy something new so I'm gonna try and make a Disney Outlet run this week since I was lazy last week and didn't do it. :guilty:
:dance3:
We're almost there!!!!!
:dance3:
Thanks Z, that'll prob help a lot!!!!
I asked, I'm not going to chance it, I think. :)
I have been thinking of going to the world of disney store but I know I will buy so I am avoiding it!
Well... the fridge took a crapper. Off to Sears and Best Buy for a new one! :teeth:
Hooray for new fridges! I wish mine actually worked. :rolleyes:
So Jess took photos of her folder and asked me to post them, I have blurred our surname out of the first photo, just incase you thought she'd done some strange swirly thing :rotfl:
Cool Jess! :thumbsup2
Just a small-ish update for me....
Under the heading "Fuzzy Disney Shopping", I got Leo a new pair of sandals. I can't believe I'm saying this but - he can't wear Crocs anymore. :eek: Well, he can, and they're fine for running around town, but NOT for serious walking. He keeps stumbling and tripping... we don't have time for that nonsense! So he's got a new pair of Lands End sandals in which he can walk right and faster. :thumbsup2
My 96yo grandmother decided she wanted to be hip and got some Crocs. Well, she fell wearing them, nothing too serious, she has very thin skin so part came off her arm, TMI? sorry! But the point of the story was that her doctor said they are very dangerous and we shouldn't wear them. Point taken but I love my Athens! :thumbsup2
Mel!! I`ll be happy to meet you for a funnel cake!! I`ll be about 6 weeks late! can you wait there for me? :rolleyes1
I'll meet you for a funnel cake! :cool1:
I just went and had another look at the Target stores and I've found one right near Mall at Millenia :yay:
I was just going to tell you that! Super Target! :yay:
Oh no! Poor grandma! :guilty:
I was just going to tell you that! Super Target! :yay:
Oooooohh!!! SUPER TARGET??!! Even better! :woohoo:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FRIDGE UPDATE.... AND IT'S BETTER THAN A DISNEY DREAM!! :yay:

So we headed over to Sears and got my dream fridge. It's a stainless steel dream! :cloud9: Got the french doors w/ the bottom pull out drawer freezer. The only thing we didn't get was the water/ice combo on the door. We did get the ice maker in the freezer, but I just know my kids and the water in the door feature would drive me insane! Maddie said "Wouldn't it be easier for you, mom if we could just get our own water?" :scratchin: Although her point did have merit, I had to veto that. :headache:

The only downer is it won't be delivered until 9/2. Bummer - we have to live without our big fridge until then. :rolleyes1

Momma's happy. :teeth:

I know you're sleeping Jo, but tell Jess great job when she wakes up!

Now Bob is on the phone with his mother who is telling him that they AREN'T coming here at all. WHAT?!

I'm am ready to run away from home. Do you think that I can change my flights to tomorrow instead of 12 days from now?

MEL:banana:

MEL:banana:

Oh geez! One of the reasons I'm glad I don't have IL's. :rolleyes:

Sorry, Mel. Go to your happy place. :goodvibes

Ah. I'm at the happy place. The happy place has wine and homemade salsa (with peppers from my garden!).

The IL's are not coming until September, again. Surely this will change again before I leave for vacation. :sad2:

I am going to TRY to plan out our clothes for the trip tomorrow. I don't know what Bob wants to bring but I have a rough idea of mine. I also started a list for the sitter and changed my ME ressie so that it's earlier (because of the flight issue..) Go me!

It really feels real now! You know?

MEL:banana:

Okay, T... She's coming, but she is NOT laminated. I had no idea you had self laminating paper! I thought you bought the whole contraption. Next time I am near a Wally World I'm going to look for one (there aren't many here, being we are the home of Target.)

So T... I hope Flat Jen won't be too much trouble. I think Maddie will enjoy her.

Congrats on the fridge! Fridges make us women happy! Now be careful for scratches with the kids. I treat my appliances like gold and I still have a ton of scratches!:headache:

gong xi America!!!

That's Congratulations America in Chinese, according to Al Roker! We are kicking butt in the Olympics!

So, today I have some SERIOUS vacay planning scheduled! I want to be sure that I have everything done before the weekend because we are SO busy in the next two weeks. School is starting soon and we have two or three days to be at the schools for various things.

Went to Hollister and AE for some threads for SD yesterday. I actually went out to find a swimsuit for the trip but was daunted at every turn! Why can't I get a HUGE top and an size 18 bottom!!?? Grrr. Well, my loss was his gain as all the stores were having sales for back to school. He is getting so tall, I bought him 32/34's! OMG. My baby....:guilty:

I listen to the stories of all the little Fockers starting PreK and Kindy and think, Oh, if only!! :hug: Those were the days. When he was thrilled to wear any shirt I picked and a pair of character sneakers from Target... Much more expensive now!!!

I'm not saying a word. :rolleyes1
That sounds like a confesion to me :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I know you're sleeping Jo, but tell Jess great job when she wakes up!

Congrats on the new fridge. We have the ice/water dispenser and I have to say you made a good choice T. Yes, Jimmy does use it, but it takes up a ton of freezer space.!:headache:

Now Bob is on the phone with his mother who is telling him that they AREN'T coming here at all. WHAT?!

Are you freaking kidding me:mad: :headache: :hug:

The IL's are not coming until September, again. Surely this will change again before I leave for vacation. :sad2:

I hope they don't show up when you are gone:headache:

So T... I hope Flat Jen won't be too much trouble.

Why should Flat Jen be any different than Flat Dawn or Rosie or Jodi...They are all trouble makers:sad2:

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey all, this is my last week of work before leaving for Fockerfest:banana: :banana: Have tons to do so that I don't come back to disaster on September 10th. Yes, you read that correctly I am out of work from August 16th to September 10th :banana: :banana: :banana:

T look away -- Haven't started packing and probably won't be able to do it until this weekend.

I have started the pile of electronic carp in the kitchen (cameras, SD Cards, Chargers, etc). Tonight I am cleaning out the middle room so that I can load in all the carp from the living room et. al so it is ready for the contractor.

Mel - HAve we decided on place/time for the funnel cake meet on the 24th!:confused3

No, I didn't actually pack them in the suitcases, although that sounds like a fun punishment. :rolleyes1 Kidding! I'm kidding, of course. Sort of. Nah, I am.
:rotfl2:
V - Did you say $7 LE sandals at Sears??!!! Heading there today with some high hopes! ;)
::yes:: They were 30-something % off, then another 50% off that! :thumbsup2

C is Edwin Watts
What's Edwin Watts???? :confused:

My 96yo grandmother decided she wanted to be hip and got some Crocs. Well, she fell wearing them, nothing too serious, she has very thin skin so part came off her arm, TMI? sorry! But the point of the story was that her doctor said they are very dangerous and we shouldn't wear them. Point taken but I love my Athens! :thumbsup2

Oh no - poor grandma! I hate that some doctors, et.c have labeled the entire brand as "unsafe", though. It depends on the person wearing them and how they fit, just like any other shoe. I tend to trip in my Mary Janes, but never had that happen in my Beach Clogs or Capris.

Got the french doors w/ the bottom pull out drawer freezer.
Oh T, my fantasy fridge! :love: Congratulatiosn!

Now Bob is on the phone with his mother who is telling him that they AREN'T coming here at all. WHAT?!
Are you kidding?!

Hey all, this is my last week of work before leaving for Fockerfest:banana: :banana:
Sweet!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, about a Focker Meet Picture Page...
It sounds like the majority want to leave it open to public viewing, but I don't want anyone to feel as though they have no control over their picture on teh net, y'know? SO here's what I'm thinking: I'll play around with it a bit, set up an account and pass it along here with what picture I have on hand. You guys take a look, tell me what you think. If at ANY time, someone wants his/her pictures removed or set to Private, that can be done a picture by picture basis. And if the majority decides the whole thing should be private, I can do that, too.
BTW, If anyone wants to add meet pics, just PM them to me the same way as if you were posting in a thread and I can pick them up and move them from there.
Opinions please.........
I was looking at the Biergarten ADR and it stands at....
Jo - 4A
T - 4A 2C
LL - 2A 1C
Janet - 5A 1C
V - 1A 1C
Mo - 1A 1C
Kate - 3A 2C
Z - 1A
Kat 1A
CE 2A 2C
Mel 2A
Angela 2A
12 DISers, 14 kids! 38 in total!
Well we have 3 ADR's, a 24, a 24 and a 7. I will cancel the 7 but could do with reducing one of the 24's to 16, do you think though that they would say they can't and I have to cancel the 24 and then try and rebook as a 16 and maybe not get it? Should I just leave it as it is???? Why do they make the system so silly?
Oh shoot - I never thought of that. Yeah, I say we keep the 24 as is and let them know when we get there that the perty size went down. It's pre-Free Dining and a slow time of year, so I think that'll be fine.
V you don't know what Edwin Watts is :faint: It's a golf shop :rotfl:
Oh, of course! :rolleyes: ;)
