TFW Meet 2008 The Mission: Wiener Salad & Margaritas - Trip Report Links on Page 1

CE- My advise if you want to ride the new Toy Story ride is to get to DHS as early as possible. Everything I have been reading says that the line for this builds up so quickly right at opening and that fastpasses are gone by noon ala Soarin.

OK, I'm really stressing now about changing my days. We didn't do much at DHS last year, but I'm thinking it would really be better to do that "not much" at a rope drop time rather than an after dinner time.

But it's still a limited time as my "switch" day would be the day we left, and it leaves us NOT doing our favorite park on our last day.

What to do??? I need help!

OK, I thought of one other option. We could do DHS the day we arrive. We don't get into WDW property until about noon, but that gives us "more" of a day there than after the water park would. I kind of feel weird not going to MK then until Friday night, 'cause it's our favorite, but...

I had us eating dinner that night at Chef Mickey's. I could keep that or try to switch it around. Our DHS meal was to have been at Sci-Fi, which I don't care about at all - just seemed like an OK TS option there for us.

What would you do?

YOu arrive on the 20th right? THat is my DHS day too..just sayin:rolleyes1 :cool2:

Seriously...if DHS is your least fav (Like it is ours ) I would do it on arrival day too (We are doing it on our first park day and it is a GREEN day:thumbsup2 ) If you can get Chef Mickey's switched to another day, what about trying to the Fantasmic dinner package at DHS ? I think the choices are Hollywood and VIne or Mama Melrose's (although Te said they missed Fantasmic once becasue of the slow service at Mama's)

We always try to do MK on our last day ::yes::

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I am calling WDW dine today to see if I can get our Kona breakfast moved to 8:00 on departure day so that we have time to eat and then get back to Pop for ME at 11:00. If I can't I am going to cancel Kona for this trip and try again next year!

You obviously didn't read back and see that I got mine along with my DIsney REwards Card :snooty:
Oh sorry Janet I did read and missed quoting you, that's why I said if there were any more :flower3:

I would leave it as is Jo and then we get there we can just tell them that there were some last minute cancellations and they can sit us accordingly. Maybe they can push 6 tables table together and we can all just sit at one big table:confused3
OK boss :rotfl2:

What would you do?
I think if you want to ride TSM you must get there at RD. What other things do you want to do there, are your boys too little for ToT, do they like the shows?

Ditto :goodvibes

BTW anyone seen Kate lately???? Do we keep losing fockers :eek:

Haven't gotten to that in my TR yet, but OMG. YOU MUST GET FP's AT OPENING FOR THIS. Or forget it...
really.

------------
Haven't seen Kate in FOREVER. Don't know....?

I have two ideas for how I am going to tackle DHS

1) Send Mom and Erich to Toy Story to get fast passes at rope drop while Alek and I go ride TOT and RnRC, then meet up for the first Beauty and the Beast show.

2) We all go to Toy Story first thing, grab fastpasses and go through the stand-by line and save TOT and RnRC for later in the day and hope we can get fastpasses for them. I would think the lines for these two rides would be pretty low during during the first Fantasmic. :scratchin

DHS is so tricky with the show schedules it is hard to really plan it out.

OK, carp. We talked about it at lunch and thought we'd let it go. All they can talk about is TSM.

Last year we did Star Tours 2-3 times, the Muppets, they played on the HISTK playground, and I made the horrible mistake of talking them onto ToT. They still talk about how much they do NOT want to do that again. :rotfl: D & I each took a turn on the R&RC with FP's and then he stayed a bit later to do it again from the single rider line. Also, we had to meet the Power Rangers.

So, it's not a lot, but I'm really worried about TSM.

ETA - I can't believe I forgot, but I got the ME envelope today!!!!!

Friday Funny before I head out... when I called last night to book June, the CM started to ask if I'd like ME. She stopped herself with a small laugh and said, "Oh wait, you're already in FL!" To which I replied, "Yes, but if ME would like to come get me, I'm more than willing!" Now THAT would be MAGICAL! :rotfl2:

Oh, could you imagine!

:rotfl2: . yeah it does scare me a little.... i usually don't even plan out what park i'm going to each day. gasp..... i know, but we like to just play it by ear (no pun intened!)........
but , that is a good idea to plan out kids outfits ,

:scared1: You need training our young Jedi:yoda:

For the kiddos I do the same thing as LL - ziplocs and labels for their clothes. Each night I pull out a bag for everyone, do the ironing and lay the clothes out for everyone to change into in the AM. Saves me time and headaches. It's a mad, mad OCD world for me. :teeth:

You iron the kids clothes to go play in th parks?????

God help my credit card, we are going to Target tomorrow. :eek:

I know you guys won't believe me but I was in Target this week and spent less then $10. $9.22 to be exact!

You obviously didn't read back and see that I got mine along with my DIsney REwards Card :snooty:

I got my rewards card this week too:cool1:

I concur:thumbsup2

I am of no help, My plan is a changing still:sad2:

I need to call Dining still too!
I swear they are going to put a block on my #

So, it's not a lot, but I'm really worried about TSM.

Me too, I guess we will go to TSM right at rope drop, but I have 1 maybe 2 evenings planned there, so I guess we will try to get everything else done then.:confused:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I actually took a lunch yesterday and went shopping, got 2 new shirts which of course meant I now have to update my spreadsheet, Yes Rachel I have an outfit spreadsheet. It's a neccessity.;)
ACK - You iron on vacation:scared1:
Seriously! :faint:
Dude, I don't even iron at home if I can possibly avoid it. :sad2:
Should I phone and cancel the table for 7? And just leave the 2 ADR's for 24 each?
Let's leave it for now, just in case.
Maybe they can push 6 tables table together and we can all just sit at one big table:confused3
I don't think there's any way they could do that, but I'm hoping they can at least keep all our tables in the same section. :thumbsup2
I don't know about your guys, but Leo is TOAST after water-parking. Really, like Jello. There's no way we could manage a park after that.
BTW anyone seen Kate lately???? Do we keep losing fockers :eek:
We've only lost her temporarily - she's visiting family up north. She'll be back soon!
I know you guys won't believe me but I was in Target this week and spent less then $10. $9.22 to be exact!
:worhsip: I just went there to get Leo new underwear... $75 later, he's got a skull hoodie, some other hoodie, a skull T-shirt, and another swimsuit. I found myself unable to resist. :headache:
~~~~~~~~~~~

Update: I may - may - be adding a night. My choices for arrival are:

*Hang at our house until rush hour is over, getting us to WDW at 11am. Just in time for corwds in any park, lunch, and afternoon rain.

*Leave before rush hour - which would involve a 5am wake-up and getting Leo up and out of hi bunk bed.

*Deal with a small amoutn of rush hour by leaving when Leo's school gets out at 3pm the day before. We'd likely get to WDW by 6pm and stay at a Mod.

That last one is sounding good. ;)

Ok, just to make it clear.... YES, I iron my childrens' clothes that they wear to play in the park. I iron everyone's clothes before we go anywhere. I have a MAJOR pet peeve about wrinkled clothes. Yup, another Tracyism. :lmao:

I don't know any OCD person who doesn't. :confused3 You guys are giving me a complex! I feel dirty. :guilty:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

okay here's my theory on ironing..................they're just going to get wrinkled again, so why bother!!!!!:lmao:

OK Target is a money trap, I officially believe this!!!!

We spent $100! But I still have a short list of things to buy for the trip! Go figure!:confused3

WE got travel size stuff for the trip (even a small sunblock for my park bag), KC got a bathing suit for $10, I got a hoodie for $10, a bunch of house crap and other misc nonsense.

And then it happened.... On the way walking home from the train we were carrying all the bags (I had 2 in my hand) I stepped up onto the curb with my lovely Jack Skellington flip flips and.... I busted my donkey! I fell apparently very far across the pavement. People stopped because they heard a loud noise when I fell, even KC yelled a colorful expletive. What was the loud noise? Not me falling, it was a package of goldfish crackers on one of my bags that cushioned my fall and made for one heck of a sound effect.

I;m scratched up a bit and tomorrow it's gonna hurt like a motha but I lived. And it's funny now.

Is that my new FOcker title??? I:thumbsup2 LIKE IT

Kat- I am so glad you are okay. Let us know how you feel tomorrow.

V- I'd go with option #3, but I'd stay at POP. :)

T- You go ahead and iron away. If it make you happy and doesn't effect anyone else really, go for it!

OMG Kat!
Here's a story to make you feel better now that you probably ache all over.

One time (not at band camp) Dh and I were in one of "those" stores, checking out some "adult items" and they have alot of sexy clothes and stripper heels. So, I was looking at these 5 inch, clear lucite heels and I decided to try them on. The salesgirl was helping me and Dh was wandering around. I leaned over to buckle the ankle strap and then stood up. I don't wear heels (ever!) so it was a strange sensation being 5 inches taller all of a sudden. Then, I FELL OVER. Seriously, like someone chopping down a tree. I fell over like a felled tree!
In the middle of the adult store. Wearing lucite heels.
Dh was kind enough to not laugh. He said the shoes accomplished their goal. Getting me into the prone position. :rotfl2:

Sorry you fell. Hope it doesn't hurt too bad.
