TFW Meet 2008 The Mission: Wiener Salad & Margaritas - Trip Report Links on Page 1

I think trying to change anything August 24th or later is going to be tough because of free dining::yes::

I know I can always depend on Janet for my countdown! ;)

I am so excited, this trip will be here in no time! My summer is so busy that I won't even notice it go by. I am headed to Ohio at the end of the month, then a day trip to Canada's Wonderland on July 5th, out to British Columbia on the July 13th and then Disney mid-August! :hyper:

We're almost into the 1 month something mark :yay::yay::yay:

Same here Lessa. We have so many things planned/coming up that it will be here before I know it. We have Jimmy's graduation, and Father's Day BBQ and a Birthday party this weekend. Next weekend we are at the beach. The weekend after that we are taking Jimmy to the Crayola factory and then it is July 4th! Whew, I'm exhausted just reading all that...let alone actually doing it:faint:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, Air Tran changed my freaking return flight AGAIN. WE now leave MCO at 1:44. I went to see what other flights they had to see if I could change and the only thing later (non-stop) is 7 something at night and that is too late with Jimmy.

This means we need to be on ME by 10:30 - 11:00. I am going to have to cancel our Kona ADR for that morning. No Tonga Toast for me this year:sad2::. Will get to try it some day@ Unless I can get my mother to drive us to the airport:idea:

How much is it for a cab to the airport? Also doesn't the counter service place at the Poly have the Tonga Toast?
I am trying to stay very busy also. The time just drags in the summer if I don't. We have a yard sale, Greenfield, Henry Ford and zoo, camping over the 4th, annual girls camping trip, Michigan's Adventure, and the Block Party concert.

I'd be leary of a cab with Jimmy beacue I don't think they have booster seats. My mom's car does. I'll just sic Jimmy on her with a please mom-mom and she will do it::yes::

Janet don't cancel anything, you never know the airline might change the times again, also if your Mum can do it :yay: Oh and as Margie said you can get tonga toast from Capn Cooks!

Well it's all paid :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Also I've added my room requests and booked my VIP IROE and Wishes tickets, I have read that the Wishes ones aren't very good though so we may not use them. The IROE are at the Morrocco boat launch!

I called a UK number at about 11am my time, 6am your time and it put me through to America  It has made me wonder for other years though because you can also book your dining on that number and it opens at 9am my time so 4am your time so we'd get first dibs on the ADR's!!!!

Janet - I agree with Jo - don't cancel anything yet! You never know what can happen between now and then. :thumbsup2

So, I was thinking... I need to call Disney Dining Monday about Dec. ADRs. And I was wondering about Option #1 - you know, "Press 1 if your stay is in the next 7 days or if you're in the Orlando area"?

Do think "Orlando area" is a relative term? I mean, I'm within 1.5 hours - that's certianly closer than, say, Detroit. Right? And, does pressing 1 get me better options?

I'm very tempted to give it a try.

Oh V try it, I reckon it all goes to the same place anyway, it really annoys me how many buttons you have to push just to get through to a CM now!!!!

I push 1 and am not sure it makes any difference.

I'm so pressing #1 next time I call:lmao:

Murph saw Kelly on Tuesday amd OMG is that kid still on cloud 9:goodvibes

All she could talk about is what she is going to do in WDW:yay:

I can't wait until she sees the Castle, I am getting all verklempt just thinking about it.

10 weeks from today we leave!!!!!

I read somewhere that it does not matter which buttons you push. The screener is not given any of that information when they answer your call, it is just a survey for Disney's own analysis. So go ahead, push 1 if you want.

All taxi vans in WDW have booster seats - you just have to ask. :thumbsup2

I had to exchange the skorts I got Kelly as they ran small, but while there I picked up a few things for her (shhh don't tell her)

First they had Hannah Montana shirts for $4.97:thumbsup2

Then I spotted these, and she is so excited about breakfast with Pooh, well, you know, I just had to buy it (also $4.97)

Then I had to go next door to Michaels to get stuff for signs for tomorrow's garage sale and thought perfect for the plane ($2.99)

Also, I don't think I mentioned that I have been working with GF concierge staff on some surprises at check in. They will have balloons and a card from Cinderella and I ordered a Royal Welcome Basket from Disney Florist

Do you think I should bring an extra suitcase with us:lmao:

ALso, did I tell you guys Murph is paying for her trip to BBB AND gave her $100 for spending money. Yeah, it's good to be Murph's grandkids.

With but 48ish Fuzzy days to go (for me), it sounds like we've all been bitten by the Must Buy Stuff For Disney bug!

I have to say, I've felt a little left out in that arena. I needed summer clothes 2 months ago, so any new shorts/shirts/dresses/sandals will be well-worn by August. We have all the Disney-themed carp we could possibly need, so that's out, too. Camera? Got a new one this winter. Food order? No need - I'll bring it in the car from home. Bag? Done - I'm so in love with my Vera Bradley bags, I don't want anything else.

Sigh. I can't even rationalize shoes, since I've already found the pefect shoe in my Crocs Capris.

Or can I?!

I found myself uncomfortably eyeballing a rack of Crocs at a local store over the weekend. I was wearing my khaki Capris, so I needed only to look down for a reminder that I was not in need of footwear. But some unseen force made me try - just try - a pair of brown Capris....

SHUT UP! I swear, they felt so much more comfy than my khaki ones! Squishier. More supportive. Better fitting straps. Could it possibly be that my khakis had worn down and were no longer the same shoe with which I'd fallen in love a little less than a year ago?

I tried both brown and khaki on at the same time... yes, there was definitely a difference. ::yes::

And I almost bought the new brown ones... but I could hear T's voice in my head saying "STOP right there V! You know there's a code out there somewhere - why would you pay full price?"

And I did it. I walked away from the Crocs display. In my old, khaki Crocs. (Does that sentence strike anyone else like "And that ol' yeller dog."?)

Sure enough, when I told T of my near-plunge into full-pricedom, she commended me on my restraint and bestowed upon me a Shoebuy code good for 15% off. Yay - thanks T!

In the end, I chose the charcoal/sea foam Capri. Not that they'll match anything better than the brown, which matched very little itself. I just plain liked the charcoal/sea foam better. And, at a Fuzzy 15% off, I could afford to follow my heart! ;)

So now I feel like I'm on the team. In the game. Up to bat. And other analogies that mean I,too, am doing my part to revitalize the economy by buying a bunch of carp I don't need for Wienerfestapalooza!

Not that there's anything wrong with that. :rotfl:

V - as a fellow American I thank you for doing your part to stimulate the economy!

OK, someone stop me I'm on disney shopping. com and they have a sale, I'm in the princess section!!!!!!

Can she adopt Jimmy as one of her grandchildren:rolleyes1

Ooh!!! I saw a girl with the charcoal/sea foam ones and they are really nice! :goodvibes
I haven't enter anything in the shopping cart, YET, but what do you guys think of this for BBB (I can't imagine wearing one of those polyester dresses in August:eek: ).

Cute dress, Mo - but be prepared for Kelly to want and to wear one of those polyester dresses. Maddie absolutely insisted on wearing that thing all day at Epcot and MK - is aint' easy being beautiful, ya know. ;)
