First time flying out of providence & trying to figure out where to park. Found Airport Valet and Preflight parking - any opinions/preferences between the 2?? Also any other tips for this airport? We're coming from CT and flying SW. Thanks!

Check out thrifty car rental. They offer an awesome parking deal.

We used Preflight last July and did not have such a good experience. Our arrival and transfer to the airport during morning hours provided great service. However, we had a late flight in around 1 a.m. and service was extremely slow. I know we waited at least 45 min. for our shuttle, as he was the only one working and had to make more than one trip to Preflight and back as we stood curbside waiting. He was apologetic, but we were frustrated. I wish I could remember the name of the company just across the street from the terminal, as they always provided excellent service. I will post if I can find it.

I just tried editing my post above to the OP, but it didn't work. I just wanted to post to say that I made an error. PreFlight:) has been excellent, and we have used them multiple times. I should have put Airport Valet as the business with the bad service upon returning. Honestly, I would not use Airport Valet again. We did see Thrifty and PreFlight:) making numerous trips back for pickups as we stood waiting for Airport Valet.

I've used PreFlight many times with wonderful results! I recommend them to everyone.

Thanks for your help! When using preflight, did you book online or just show up?? Also is the airport on the small side - should we allow extra time (beyond normal) for TSA? I think I read that somewhere. We usually fly out of Hartford and 1.5 hours before flight is typically plenty. Also is there a place inside airport (like McDonald's/dunkin donuts) to grab a bite?

TF Green is TINY compared to most airports. It's very easy to get around. You can find a map and list of services for the airport doing a Google search.

We do book PreFlight online ahead of time. You might be able to do a search and find a discount before booking. If you look under pvdairport.com you will be able see the dining locations. We usually aim to be where we leave our car about 2 1/2 hrs. before the actual flight, but usually we run just a bit over 2 hrs. We have arrived at the airport 1 1/2 hrs. before without any problems, but I tend to be filled with anxiety after trying to get the family out of the house, luggage in the car, stops for coffee for our 1 1/4 hr ride to PVD or Bradley, etc. and find it way too close for comfort. Really, we treat PVD and Bradley the same in regards to timing.
