Has anyone eaten there? I really fancied it last year but dh thought it was too pricey.

Of course then we went and ate at Le Cellier later in the week and paid a huge amount of money for steaks anyway, and then paid more again for the rest of our dinner :rotfl:

Any chance I could get a coupon or a deal? Is it as delicious as it looks? Is there a kids menu?

Help! LOL!

We ate there for the first time last month and had great food and service. It has now become a must eat on our trips to Orlando.

Our bill came to around $200 for 2 adults and DD6, that included a $70 bottle of wine and desserts which arn't included, we also didn't get charged for DD.

I don't remember there being a kids menu, but DD was quite happy with all the different meats on offer so we didn't ask.

You start with a salad / tapas bar and they also had Lobster Bisque. When you are ready they will bring you plates along with a big bowl of mashed potatoes to share. They also have Gratin Potatos at the salad bar.

You can then eat until you can't fit anymore in and it's all as delicious as it looks.

If you go onto their website you can sign up for special offers. We have had a few emails with offers.

Thanks for that Babyboo, that was really helpful.

I went over to the website and they say kids eat for half price. I have 3 kids going, two are big carnivores and will eat anything, the oldest will most likely request french fries and pick at a few other bits.

I have to try this place, it looks stand out!

Oooh thanks that is really helpful. I joined the email club too, so hopefully I'll get a voucher. We have 3 kiddos but won't be drinking so it should work out not too bad.

I happily pay the same for Chef Mickey's for food that isn't half as good, but you know how that goes...

We have eaten there on a number of occasions and love it. Just one word of warning, unless you want to go at opening time, make a reservation. We once tried to go around 19:00 without a reservation and were told that the wait time was 2.5 to 3 hours. This was off season when Orlando was relatively empty. We ended up going across the road and ate at Bergamos where we were seated straight away. We went back to Texas de Brazil two days later at opening time and were seated within about 10 minutes.

When you register on their website, make sure that your 'anniversary' and 'birthdays' are dates while you are on holiday.

We used a 'two for the price of 1' anniversary coupon there on our recent trip and were treated to a glass of champagne each by the waiter to celebrate!

We are there over our anniversary so I made sure I put that date down.
Do they need to see proof of the special date - marriage or birth certificate for example - or do they just take everyone at their word?
Do you also need to go on the actual day - or will the voucher cover a day either side?

My son has actually picked it for his 17th birthday meal when we are there on holiday in July. He loved it so much the last time we ate there and that was back in 2005. That's how memorable he found it.

No proof was asked for. We just showed them the coupon and that was enough. The coupon had an expiry date which was probably a couple of weeks after the anniversay date. I can't remember exactly.

that's what we've done too! :thumbsup2 Brilliant to get the discounts. Love eating out there. We normally get the desserts to go and share one (they are really big), the chocolate cake is really lovely.

Oooh that's a good plan. I know you can't take the salads or meat to go, so I was wondering about the desserts.

They won't have a problem with you taking the desserts as you have to pay for them as an extra to the meal.
