Just wondering if anyone could tell me a little about this restaurant. We're staying offsite for the first time and thought about maybe trying something besides WDW restaurants. Is it very crowded? Do you need to call and make a reservation? How much does it cost? Anything you can tell me would be great.

Extremely (and rightfully) popular and a true bargain at about $45 pp dinner and around $29 for lunch. Reservations for dinner are advisable especially on Fridays/Saturdays. Sign up on their website for big discounts (like 2 for one or at least 50% off second meal). Quality is excellent, value very high. It is a little noisy, almost always crowded but a great meal. Be warned - if you fill up on the excellent salad bar you won't be able to enjoy the best part. The continuous stream of gaucho's with hot meat items each one better than the last. Well worth the money if you are a meat lover or simply want a great high end buffet salad bar.

There are a couple other imitators in the same area but, so far for us, none are as good as Texas DeBrazil. Not quite up to a specialized steak house like Charley's or DelFrisco's but close enough in quality and price that it competes as a more casual alternative. Highly recommended. Better than anything on site at Disney without a doubt.

Can't say it any better TotoToo.:) We frequently take out of town visitors there and no one has been disappointed yet. It can get quite noisy so if you are looking for a very quiet romantic evening,it may not be the best spot. Have been to a number of other Steakhouses of this type, and TdB rates right up there at the top imho. If the meat is not done to your liking, they will bring you some just the way you like it cooked. They also have a light dinner and lunch at a reduced price which skips grilled meats. They also make a killer Caipirinha Cocktail. Have fun wherever you decide to dine. If you decide on Texas de Brazil, dont forget to bring a wheelbarrow to get hauled out in.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the replies so far. I have another question though. I went to their website and the dress code is "smart casual". Are nice shorts and a nice shirt ok, or do we need to pack pants (not jeans) and a nicer shirt. Just curious what people wear. We may go in March but we also have a trip planned in late May/June. I couldn't imagine wearing pants in June.

We were there last monday..

Our take... WE LOVED IT

We were dressed in nicer jeans and shirts. There were many people there dressed all kinds of ways.

The food was fantastic. They are very accomadating. It can be crowded... but well worth the visit!
