We woke up early today to be at MGM when they opened. I really wanted the kids to be choosen for Jedi Training so we (and the whole park) went staight to Star Tours. If you like Star Wars then you would have been in heaven. We fast passed the Star Wars ride and then waited for the Jedi Training. Both children were picked to participate and they loved it. Go early, stand in the front and pray. Many children left in tears because they were not picked. They pick 30 children at each event - I think 5 times a day. The park was pretty busy but with the fast passes we were just fine. The only thing we did not get to do that I missed was - Millionaire and the stunt show. We used the dining plan and ate at Sci-Fi Cafe. It was wonderful. Burgers were perfect, yummy onion rings, milkshakes and the kid enjoyed their kid's meals. My daughter was too full for dessert so they brought her two cookies to take with us. They kids ordered the drinks with the glow in the dark cubes and they forgot to charge us for them. I pointed it out to our waitress and she said "Oh, Well"!.
I really loved the Muppets 3-D movie!! I also got picked to be in the Indiana Jones Stunt Show and that was fun. My children could not believe that I volunteered.
We left early and went back to the resort to swim and rest up. We ate at the POFQ food court for dinner. It was average but the children did not get kid's meals and they did not care. We took Mickey Rice Krispy Treats back to the room and saved them for later. All in all a great day!

That was really nice of you to be honest! Many people would not have done that.

Wow, I didn't know they had the Jedi Training at MGM. Thanks for the tip. My DS would love that. Glad that your kids were able to participate. I can see how the kids that weren't picked would be in tears. Kids love their Star Wars almost more than the adults do. ;) Sounds like you had a great time.

Man, I'll have to get out to MGM during a Star Wars Weekend at some point in my life. I'm a life-long Star Wars geek, but I've never been able schedule a trip around one of the weekends.

How long were the lines to get pics with the different Star Wars characters? It seems to be one of the biggest draws of the weekends, and something I'd love to do if I ever go.

The lines for the characters were pretty long. You could fast pass the bigger stars first thing in the morning.
