Does anyone know if Texaco/Chevron is still a sponsor of Universal Orlando? They use to have the King Kong ride.

They are not. It's Hess now.

Have they taken down the Texaco shack and pump that was near the lagoon or does it just say Hess now? I know that the Kong ride is gone.

Yes. DocBosch explained in great detail about why, as well. It's a critical point in the ride film, too. It's one of few points where they'd be able to stop shooting, as flying sequences have to be done in one take...
