anyone know where I can get a good deal on them??
Usuallt I am buying and packing for vacations MONTHS in advance - boy am I slacking this time -
DH and the kids each need a pair for our trip in a month and half!

You can order directly from TEVA. Also check the websites for Sierra Trading and Campmor. I just got some great ski items from both those websites at great prices.

I ordered mine from www.cabelas.com. I ordered two pair and they were $50 each. My DH has had his for years and loves them, so I thought we should all have a pair too for our June trip.

would any of you guys mind comparing the benefits/negatives of Columbia sandals to the Tevas? I've never owned either, and have been looking at both for our upcoming trip to WDW, and to me it looks like maybe the Columbia ones provide more support? As a person who has never tried Tevas (or Columbia), can you describe why so many on this board think they are "wonderful"? I'm not overly thrilled with the "look" of the Tevas! LOL :p Thanks so much for any/all input!

And thanks for all the links for pricing/shopping~~~I'd never ever heard of Froogle, and I use Google all the time!!! :cloud9:

I've never had Columbia's, but that is an outdoor name I trust. I buy the Teva's for my child who can not keep ANY other brand of sandals we've ever tried intact for more than a week. After I don't know how many pair's of Teva's he hasn't destroyed one yet. They last!

I forgot about LL Bean. They have them also and you know they will come quickly and on the day you expect!

I just bought a pair of Teva Terra Fi's from REI.com. They have a link to their outlet and I got mine for $43.00 plus shipping and tax. I have never tried them before but I thought I would give them a try. They are great! More comfortable than my new balance running shoes. My mom even wore them to work yesterday. I went back to buy another pair and REI only has a few left. Sierra Trading that also had them on sale are out. You can still buy them from other places but pay $65.00. My mom said they are kind of ugly but so comfortable that she didn't care. Thanks to everyone for the great info.

Do you have a DSW shoe store? I just bought a pair at the Syracuse store for $34... it is my first time with them - I have read alot about them on the boards.... my DD (15) thought they were ugly... I think they will save my feet!

Question about sizing!! Do they run true to size??

I looked at Rei.com and they only seem to have whole sizes for the ones I was interested in Teva Terra Fi's. I need a ½ size so should I go higher or lower? Sometimes a store will state, "for half sizes go one size higher".

I looked on their website but couldn't find the answer.
Thanks!

I would like to know that too as DH is a half size and last time I quessed and wen tup on boots (150$ boots at that) he got a little cranky - and didn't wear them til he NEEDED to a year nd a half later!)

Kathie...My thought is order up. All my Teva's are a larger size than I typically wear.

Thanks!! I'll give it a shot. I normally take a 5½. In some shoes I can take a 6, in others a 5.

You can frequently buy new Tevas on ebay as well.

I wear an 8 1/2 and bought a 9. Fits perfectly. I also love that I can adjust the strap on the heel since I have a narrow heel.

I'm a half size also, and have ordered "up." They fit perfectly. I love Teva's!

I love my Tevas. My Mom and I both have small feet. She is a size 6, and I am a 5. We always buy ours over in the kids section at Nordstroms. They are about half the price in the kids section, so if you have tiny feet, look there. I think I bought a 4 or 4.5 in kids, and they fit just fine.

I just bought a new pair at DSW. Mine were $29.90. They had a few other styles for $34.90.

As for sizing, I am i the minority. I can take anywhere from an 8 1/2-9 in other shoes, but the 8s in tevas fit me perfectly. Go figure!

My DD had Columbia's and really liked them (although she is too lazy for anything you must manually bend over and take on or off - she wants to kick em off or slide em off)
I LOVE my Teva's though and won't try anything else - I have a tendancy to think the Columbias would make your feet sweat more as there is MOre to them!
My tevas have been though h*'l and back and I don't wan t anew pair either - I LOVE them
