Anyone wear these shoes? Are they comfortable? Do they get slippery if wet? Trying to decide if I should order a pair. Wedge or flat?

Just got back from Hawaii where I wore my Teva Mush flip flops everyday! Good traction on slippery wet surfaces and the footbed was also fine when wet. Easy to rinse off and wear and were very comfy. Pretty good arch support for my high arches and we did a lot of walking!

I absolutely LOVE them, and I don't normally like or wear flip flops. But, these are my new summer shoes.
I have several pairs of the flat Olawahu style.

Unlike regular flip flops, the are not totally flat. They have built in arch support and the extra straps help keep them in place. I have worn them out in the rain and they were not particularly slippery (not like Crocs, which I have found treacherous to walk in if it is raining). The only time I've had problems with slipperiness was when I got totally soaked on Kali River. My shorts were soaked and kept dripping on my feet and getting the top surface of my shoes wet.

Love these flips! I wore them everyday on our wdw trip last fall and had no problems! Super comfortable!

I LOVE Teva mush. I'm flat footed, yet they are way more comfy to me than sneakers. I have worn them at Disney and at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Oh, and NYC. Pretty much anywhere when it's hot out! I have flat flip flop ones that I wear everywhere. I do have a higher wedge one but haven't worn it for extended walking. They have a tread on them, so not that slippery. But if it's a total deluge, and my foot inside is wet, it can slip around a tiny bit.

One thing , the "mush" does compress with extended wear. So I get about one summer's use out of a pair and then they become my "junky" garden shoes.

I have about 10 pairs of the Teva Olowahu and wear them every day at home and the parks. I have high arches and narrow feet and they are very comfortable. Wore them in the rain at the parks and had no problem.

I have two pair & I love them...except when it's hot outside. I find that as my feet swell the strap around my big toe gets tighter & uncomfortable. I still wear them often, just could not wear them for a day in the parks.

Love my mushes! :) The only trouble I had last fall was the tops of my feet got rubbed raw from the straps. That was by the sixth day in the parks and miles upon miles of walking. I stuck some bandaids on my feet under the straps (hubby used moleskin) and was good to go.

I tried to wear them.

They were ok for about an hour and then I had to change my shoes. They just weren't supportive enough for me. I was wearing the flat kind.

LOVE the Olawahus! I only had a problem at about day 6 of our 10 day trip. I eventually got REALLY sore on the bottom of my foot where below my big toe and the toe next to it (where the strap is). Never a blister, but very sore. Again, that was day 6. I ended up buying crocs to wear the rest of the trip (which caused blisters on the sides of my feet!).

From now on, I will be alternating shoes every few days. For this next trip I have a pair of Keens, my Olwahus, and my now broken in Mickey crocs!

Teva Mush are the only shoes I wear at Disney. I also like Olawahus, but the straps become bothersome after a while, so I can't wear them for all day theme-park walking!

I have over a dozen pairs of the "original" mush and mush II. I have the style with the more traditional single, wider strap. (The name is just original mush or mush II). I alternate pairs everyday when we are in Disney. I love, love them! I have never had problems with the straps rubbing, etc. even though I am plus size. I don't find that they are slippery if they get wet.

I do like the original mush best because they are thicker and "mushier." I couldn't find them for the past couple of years because they had been replaced with the mush II. The mush II is cut narrower and is not as thick as the original. It also runs small-I typically wear a size 8 1/2 or 9 in a regular shoe, but I had to go to a 10 in the mush II. I can wear either a 9 or 10 in the original mush.

I have bought them in shoe stores, Dick's sporting goods and even ordered them from Amazon.

Last year, I was so excited to discover the original mush on the official teva website (though with fewer color options) and have ordered three new pairs for this summer. I'm trying not to wear them now so they will still be their "mushiest" for our trip in August. I have not found the original mush in stores.

If you like the Teva Mush, try the Cobian Braided Bounce. They fit very similar to the original Mush, but the mush seems to last longer and may even be a little squishier. For some reason they work better for my plantar fasciitis feet too. I used to swear by the Teva Mush, but found I like the Cobian Leather Bounce more. (Actually I prefer my beloved OluKai Ohana flip flops for WDW, but for a mush shoe, I like the Cobian Braided Bounce and find they have the right amount of arch support I need. If you click on the cream colored Cobian Bounce in the link below (the center one) and then click on the sixth picture, you will see what I mean about the mushier sole and better arch support. They show up better in that picture.

Here's a picture of my beloved Olukai Ohana's.

I just discovered Teva Mush flip flops this year & have them in several colors. They are sooo comfortable & I get a lot of heel & arch pain if I don't wear a good shoe.

I just ordered a bunch from Sierra Trading Post - they have many on clearance starting at $7.50....and they sell the 2-packs for $29.95. they often have free S&H on orders over $75 & if you sign up for their emails you get a code to use for a week for an extra 30% off. I just ordered 5 pair for the family for $50!

They are comfy. And I wore them on our rainy Dayan HS during Andrea and thought they were great...until the end of the day. Because they were wet, they rubbed the top of my feet raw and I has to wear band aids and stay away from them for a few days. I would just bring band aids and be prepared!

Teva.com still has the original Teva Mush for women. The sole is thicker and mushier than the Mush II. Just bought a pair using the discount code TRAIL15 for a 15% discount and stacked 2DAYSHIP for free 2 day shipping ($15 value). I much prefer the Original Mush but wish they had Adapto straps or other strap styles with the Original Mush sole.

I wear the Mandalyn Mush. They are perfect for my high arches and super comfy!
